SOPHOS ENCRYPTION INSTRUCTIONS

A password will need to be created the first time a PDF Encrypted Message via Sophos is received.

Click on “Set Sophos Secure Message password” to open the Sophos Password Creator:

Complete the required fields and click Apply.

Success!

After creating a password, the encrypted email is delivered as an attachment. It can take a little time for the email containing the encrypted message to show up in your inbox.

Click on the attachment to DOWNLOAD it, then click on the downloaded attachment to open it from the browser as shown here:

Finally, type in the password to open it:

To respond securely, click on the “Secure Reply” link in the secure message

Compose a reply, attach documents, if needed, then click Send.

After sending, there are two options: “Logout” or “Send me a copy”. It is strongly recommended that the “Send me a copy” option is selected.

A copy of the reply will be delivered as an encrypted attachment.

NOTE: If you reset/change your Sophos encrypted password the encrypted documents will need to be resent because the documents are

encrypted with the password at the time the email is sent.
