Thus, the children came under the supervision of their uncle who was also badly affected by the earthquake and was not in a position to adequately fulfill the needs of these children. He approached SOS Children’s Village Dhodial for their admission. One of Naqeeba's brothers is living with the uncle. Admission Note: Naqeeba Zeb joined in December 2007 at the age of 4 years and since then living a happy life at the SOS Village, Dhodial. She did not have any medical problem. She had age appropriate weight and height. She had no prior education before joining the Village. She seemed very scared and unhappy of her new surroundings. With the warm welcome received from her SOS family, she overcame her anxiety fairly quickly. Observations: Naqeeba is studying in SOS Hermann Gmeiner School,Dhodial. She is above average student but she couldn’t perform well this time. She secured 60 % marks in her final Examination of Class 6th and was promoted to Class 7th. Her class teacher recommended extra coaching classes to help her enhance her academic performance. She is currently taking extra coaching classes after school. She is also enrolled in the English language class to make her fluent in speaking English Language. On 8th March, Womens Day was celebrated at SOS Village organized by the Right to Play (an NGO). Different programs were arranged like stage function, games and painting competition. She participated in a painting competition and painted a picture of a woman with a child. She was given a prize at the end. She also participated in the welcome song during Donors Function. Gardening is her favorite hobby; she likes to take care of plants and vegetables. A small kitchen garden is present near her house which is rich with vegetables. Watering these plants in the morning is the hobby she enjoys the most. She attends the Quran classes held in the village in the evening. She is fond of outings and visited Abbottabad a few days back along with her housemates. After Eid she visited Dadar valley near SOS Village, the valley is rich with natural resources and River Siran makes it more beautiful. She enjoyed this trip a lot.
