Creation of my Soundtrack

In order for my soundtrack to be as professional as possible, and for it to blend well with my film, I decided to get two members from the band ‘The Stanley's’ to help create it. I had a simple idea for the music, on which I shared with them and they came up with ideas which ran through me before being created and completed. Both songs were created on the software Logic Pro 2014 and all instruments and vocals were recorded live.

Stell Kousiounis, the lead guitarist for the band, helped in the creation of the second song called ‘Sad Mollie’.Jordan Evans, the lead singer of the band, helped in creation of the first song called ‘Happy Mollie’.

This is all the instruments used in both songs…

acoustic guitar (Yamaha apx700 LH) Electric piano (Yamaha) recorded handicaps and table tapping.

Jordan wrote the generic rhythm for ‘Happy Mollie’ and Stell wrote the finished generic rhythm for ’Sad Mollie’.

When the both songs were completed I moved them into the film project on Premier Pro.

However, I found that the ‘Happy Mollie’ tempo was a bit slow in comparison to the shots, on so I speed up the track to 120%, which made it blend well.

I further blended both songs together by changing the volume to decrease and rise

slowly, with a slight overlap. I also had to cut the ‘Sad Mollie’ song as it was too long for my film- I decided to cut a few seconds off the stat because if I done it off the end it would have made the ending be abrupt and not blend.

My Project ‘The Life Of Mollie’ on Premier Pro when editing the soundtrack.
