Title I: School Improvement

Title I of the NO CHILD LEFT BEHIND Act of 2001 provides funds for

improving schools. The purpose of a school wide Title I program is to

ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to

obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on

challenging State academic achievement standards and state academic

assessments.

Enemy Swim Day School includes the following activities:

Native Star

Native Star is a web-based school improvement system. The ultimate goal in

school improvement is for the people associated with a school to drive its

continuous improvement for the sake of the children they serve. Native Star

helps build the capacity of these people to improve schools on a local level.

While Native Star‘s indicators of effective practice are based on the science of

learning and applicable for all children, Native Star encourages the people

closest to the students to infuse cultural values congruent with effective

practices.

Title VII: Indian Education Formula Grant

The Indian Education Formula Grant

(often referred to as Title VII) program

provides funds to support local educational

agencies (LEAs) in their efforts to
