YOUTH CAMP

Traditional Camp ages 5-12: Our traditional camp encourages your child to interact through age appropriate activities including swimming, art & crafts,teambuilding, game time, tennis, basketball, Zumba and outdoor activities. Each camper will spend each day outdoorat our facility exploring their choice of exciting activities.We offer a variety of opportunities that will help your childdevelop values, leadership skills, sportsmanship and friendships that will last a lifetime. Each group will participate on Friday, Skit Day, where they dress up accord-ing to the weekly theme.Sessions 1-10 • MEM: $100/session

PRO: $120/session

9:00 am-4:00 pm with free extended care from6:30-9:00 am & 4:00-6:30 pm

TEEN CAMP

Leaders In Training (LIT) ages 13-14: Leaders intraining program is designed to teach teens theYMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, andresponsibility, as they help make camp a “magical”experience for younger campers. LIT’s will haveopportunities to take leadership roles and assistcounselors with camp activities, as they will helpcoordinate and design activities for the weeklycamp themes. This experience will help thembecome future camp counselors. LIT campers willtake one field trip per week (a minimum enrollment of 6 campers each week for field tripto occur). Register early - Limited space is available. Sessions 1-10 • MEM: $75/session PRO: $80/session

Session 2 June 6-10Past, Present & Future – Campers will spendthe week getting to know all about history.(Civil Rights Museum)

Session 3 June 13-17Team Building Week – Campers will learn theimportance of team building by participating ina variety of outdoor activities. (Bransby Outdoor Camp)

Session 4 June 20 - 24Mad Science – Campers will build an experiment with a variety of science projects.(Stem and Science Projects)

Session 5 June 27 - July 1Traveling Through Time – Campers will get achance to visit downtown Atlanta GA and soakin the sun. (Peach Peddler/Trampoline Park)

Session 6 July 5-8 Splish Spash – Campers will get a chance tohave fun using multiple water slides and activities. (Water Park)

Session 7 July 11-15Wild Wild West – Show off your Wild WestStyle and Learn how to line dance, tie doubleknots while learning the history of cowboys.(Animal Safari)

Session 8 July 18-22Junior Chefs– Campers will create fun master-pieces with food!

Session 9 July 25-29Fast As Lightening – Learning about speed asthey race around Malibu and Fun Junction.(Fun Junction/Malibu)

Session 10 August 1-5Olympic Week– Campers will have fun withsport activities and special dishes. (Back to School Cookout)

SPORTS CAMPS

Sports Camps ages 5-12: Coaches will teach and administer skill building games. Campers will learn fundamentals, rules and technique throughout the week byimplementing those skills. Campers will also enjoy othercamp activities.Sessions 2-5, 7-9 • $125/sessionWeekdays, 9:00 am-4:00 pm

Cheerleading: Learn cheerleading skills and styles whilefocusing on fun and proper form. Session 3

Basketball: This camp is recommended for boys & girls thatwish to become better players, whether they are experiencedor new to the game. There will be class instruction on ballhandling, passing, defense, shooting skills, rebounding, andconditioning while at camp in the gymnasium. Sessions 6 & 7

Golf: Golf camp offers an unforgettable experience for yourchild by combining expert instruction and fun activities tokeep them active and learning. This camp provides a fun andenriching environment for girls & boys, new or experienced,based on their skill level. Lessons are taught through drills,games and contest covering full swings, short game, putting,rules & etiquette and scoring. Session 4

Volleyball: Our volleyball camp include drills to develop fundamental skills. Session 8

Baseball: This camp is recommended for boys & girls thatwish to become better players, whether they are experiencedor new to the game. There will be class instruction on batting, hitting, catching and base running. Session 7

Soccer: This camp is a great way for your child to be introduced to the game or sharpen their skills. The camperswill work on drills with passing, defense, and conditioning.They will have scrimmages against one another and lots ofsmall sided games. Session 2

Flag Football: Huddle up, flag football is here! Players learnthe fundamentals of how to play the sport, brush up on therules, tactics, and skills, how to improve their game withgood sportsmanship and fun. Session 9

Preparing for Camp

CAMP ASSISTANCEEvery child and family should have the opportunity to participate in a Y program. We will accept applications starting March 1, 2016 and they are awarded on a firstcome, first serve basis. Supporting documents include twoforms of financial verification from each adult in thehousehold. (e.g. two pay stubs, government assistance awardletters, unempoyment award letters, and 2016’s 1040)Metro Atlanta YMCA branches actively seek to reduce YMCAFees for those in need. Summer camp financial aid is limitedand may take up to one week to process.

PAYMENTS

• We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, checks, money orders.

• Any parent or guardian with a past due balance will not be allowed to continue to register his or her camper(s) for additional weeks until the balance is paid in full.

• There is an additional charge for returned checks.• Parents of children dismissed from camp for behavioral

problems will not receive a refund.• We do not deduct absences from your fee because the

space is reserved.

MEMBERSHIPCamper must have a Facility (MEM) or Program (PRO) Membership to attend camp. Program Memberships are $40 annually.

PARENT HANDBOOKAll parents will receive a Parent Handbook upon registration.It is the parent’s responsibility to review the handbookgiven.

• No NUT PRODUCTS allowed• All campers should pack 2 snacks each day

• All campers must wear sneakers (no flip flops or sandals allowed)

• $2 Slushies will be available TBA(cash only)

• No electronic technology allowed (No cell phones, iPads/tablets, Kindles,

DS/DSi, MP3 players, iPods, Pokémon or

other trading cards, toys, etc.)

• Please don’t bring any valuable or meaningful items to camp

for lost, stolen or damaged items)
