SOUTH WALES CLARINET CHOIR was formed in September 2 0 0 5

to promote clarinet ensemble playing in Cardiff and south Wales. The ensemble compris es musicians playing the full range of instruments from the clarinet family and includes professional clarinett ists , music teachers and accomplished amateurs.

The ensemble performs regularly across south Wales and the West Country. Venues have included St David's Hall,Wales Millennium Centre ,Norwegian Church, National Museum of Wales at St Fagans, Swansea Waterfront Museum, Ewenny Priory, south Wales Valley venues in Resolven, Caerpbilly, Blackwood and Ystrad Mynach , Wells Cathedral, Bristol Harbour Waterfront Festival, and at the National Clarinet Convention held in Cardiff.

In 2011 South Wales Clarinet Choir were delighted to give a live broadcast from Hoddinott Hall, Wales Millennium Centre, for BBCRadio 3.

Their repertoire is varied , ranging from Baroque to the present day, and includes arrangements of popular pieces together with original compositions commissioned from distinguished composers Mervyn Burtch and Luke Whitlock.

TREBLE C is a young vocal trio whose repertoire spans many centu ries and genres - classical, folk, classic pop, music the atre, spiritual and gospel.

Caitlin , Ciara and Consuela (hence the name - ''Treble C"!) are all stud ents from Caerphilly. They are former members of Caerphilly Children 's Choir & Youth Singers with whom they appeared at the BBC "Proms in the Park", and alongside the BBC National Orchestra of Wales at St David's Hall, Cardiff. They also sang with the choir at the National Festival of Music for Youth in Birmingham, and for the premier of "Requiem Cambrensis" written to commemorate the centenary (in 2013) of the UK's worst ever mining disaster at the village of Senghenydd near Caerphilly.

For three years they were members of the National Youth Train ing Choir of Wales. They formed as a trio in January 2 0 17 and have quickly built a reputation as a polished, ent ertaining and versatile vocal ensemble.

Treble C sings regularly with Aber Valley Male Voice Choir and have also appeared as guests with choirs at Blackwoodand Porthcawl. Charity, festival and Christmas performances have taken them from Brecon (performing alongside Jo anna Lumley) to Penarth, and they have sung in the Great Hall of Caerphilly castle as part of the town 's "Big Cheese" festival. Singing to a high standard is always the aim of the girls and they strive to improve with every perform ance. They continually develop their repertoire often challenging themselves with excit ing arrangements.
