The Project

•Funding obtained from London Challenge Transition Fund.

•Project launched after KS2 SATS.

•Copies of books available in both secondary schools and 7 feeder primaries for Year 6 and 7 groups to borrow, read, and discuss and review on the blog.

Visits

Year 6 teachers met with secondary English teachers and librarians at the secondary schools.

The librarians visited all 7 feeder primaries with Year 7 students who were ex-pupils of the school to take books and introduce the project.

Drama Workshops

Drama specialist employed to work in all participating schools for one day each bringing the books to life and engaging pupils.

The Blog

Pupils post reviews, comments and votes on CoLA blog http://blog.cityacademy.co.uk

Over 300 blogs are written over the 5 weeks of the project!

All pupils and teachers meet on morning of July 10th to celebrate the winning book.
