COURSE DESCRIPTION/HIGHLIGHTS This state-of-the-art course is intended for practicing otolaryngologists, physician’s assistants, and speech-language pathologists, and is one of the first conferences of its kind in the Southwest!We are proud to present a faculty of world-renowned experts in the field of laryngology and voice rehabilitation from across the country. The course format will feature expert lectures, panel discussions, case presentations, audience participation, and live demonstrations. The program is based on a multidisciplinary team approach,  with topics that focus on diagnostics, surgical, and therapeutic manage- ment of a wide spectrum of vocal pathologies, such as:• Surgical Management of Unilateral

Vocal Fold Paralysis• Comprehensive Voice Evaluation• Voice Considerations in Cancer

complete voice evaluation in diagnosis and treatment of voice disorders.

• Differentiate primary from secondary Muscle Tension Dysphonia.

• Explain multidisciplinary approach in the care of the professional voice.

• Identify anatomy and fundamental techniques in release of Myofascial Trigger Points in Muscle Tension Dysphonia patients.

• Identify extrinsic laryngeal muscle anatomy in implementation of circumlaryngeal massage and laryngeal reposturing.

• Describe the benefits of transoral laser microsurgery for laryngeal cancer.

• Incorporate the treatment of glottic insufficiency and vocal fold paralysis into clinical practice.

No refund will be granted unless a written notice of cancellation is received. If registration must be canceled, tuition less a $75 administrative fee, will be refunded when notification is received on or before March 21, 2014. No refunds will be made after this date.

Although it is not Mayo Clinic’s policy to limit the number of registrants for a course, conference room facilities may necessitate closure of enrollment. Early registration is strongly recommended.
