After the Lesson: Formative Feedback
Things to be aware of• In 1st term of P1, grammar is not part of the rubric
framework
• In 1st term of P1, “details” are mainly adjectives of numbers, colours, a sentence not modelled in the lesson, etc.
• When students write simple sentences, punctuation and spelling is often correct
• When students begin to write a variety of sentences, punctuation and spelling errors may appear more often
How to inform learning and teaching
• Keep a record of students’ reading and writing strategies
• Regularly allow students opportunities to refer back to previous reading and writing tasks to look at their own progress
