WELCOME TO OUR VIRTUAL TRIP IN THE SPACE
![Page 2: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/2.jpg)
LET US BEGIN WITH THE SOLAR SYSTEM – OUR HOME
![Page 3: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/3.jpg)
Solar system

Mercury is the smallest, closest to the Sun and most fast-moving planet named after the
winged messenger of the Roman Gods
![Page 5: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Venus is named after the Goddess Venus. Sometimes it is called “Planet-
sister of the Earth"
![Page 6: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Earth - the most beautiful planet and it is our home
![Page 7: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/7.jpg)
Here we are, seen from the Moon
![Page 8: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/8.jpg)
Mars –it is so called “The Red Planet“- it is the best trained planet and it is the most likely place where you can
find water or even life
![Page 9: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/9.jpg)
Jupiter is the largest and the fastest spinning planet
![Page 10: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/10.jpg)
The little green spot is North America
![Page 11: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/11.jpg)
Saturn is best known for its rings composed of ice and space dust
![Page 12: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/12.jpg)
And here are six planets like Earth, compared with Saturn
![Page 13: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/13.jpg)
If Earth had rings like those of Saturn
![Page 14: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/14.jpg)
Uranus- its most peculiar characteristic feature is the inclination of its axis of rotation by almost
90 degrees
![Page 15: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/15.jpg)
Neptune was the first planet and its existence was proved by mathematical
calculations, it is farthermost from the Sun.
![Page 16: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/16.jpg)
This is a comet. Here's how it looks like when you compare it to Los Angeles
![Page 17: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/17.jpg)
Here are several pictures of beautiful auroras.
![Page 18: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/18.jpg)
Auroras is an optical phenomenon seen in the sky over the polar regions of Earth
forming in consequence of the interaction of charged particles from the solar wind to
the magnetosphere. The phenomenon may be likened to a stunning dance of
coloured lights in the sky. The reason for that amazingly beautiful natural
phenomenon is the solar activity.
![Page 19: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/19.jpg)
![Page 20: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/20.jpg)
Let’s continue our space trip
![Page 21: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/21.jpg)
But all this can not be compared to the Sun:
![Page 22: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/22.jpg)
![Page 23: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/23.jpg)
Our Sun is the star in the center of the Solar system. The average
distance from the Sun to Earth is approximately 149.6 million
kilometers. In this average distance light travels from the Sun to the Earth in about 8 minutes and 19
seconds. The energy of this sunlight supports almost all life on the Earth through photosynthesis and guide
the planet's climate.
![Page 24: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/24.jpg)
![Page 25: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/25.jpg)
Milky road- our Universal home. The Milky Way galaxy is 100,000 to 120,000 light years in diameter, which contains about 100-400 billion stars.
![Page 26: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/26.jpg)
All the stars in the night sky, however, you see, are surrounded by a yellow
circle
![Page 27: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/27.jpg)
That is one of the galaxies -UDF 423. It is 10 billion years away from us. When you look at the image, you stare at billions of years in the
past.
![Page 28: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/28.jpg)
Let's think a bit more extensive, however. Only in this image taken by the telescope "Hubble", there are
thousands and thousands of galaxies, each containing millions of stars with their own planets
![Page 29: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/29.jpg)
Let’s see some new beautiful objects - nebulae. The nebula is a cloud of interstellar dust, gas and plasma. It can be seen thanks to the emitted or absorbed by her waves and particles, which distinguishes it from the surrounding interstellar medium. Narrow form due to graviaty collapse of interstellar gas in galaxies
![Page 30: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/30.jpg)
![Page 31: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/31.jpg)
![Page 32: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/32.jpg)
A black hole is an area in space-time that can not be divorced from anything, even light, due to its
immense gravity.
![Page 33: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/33.jpg)
Here's one that is compared to the orbit of our Earth:
![Page 34: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/34.jpg)
And, are we alone in this vast universe?
![Page 35: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/35.jpg)
... .or there are other living creatures?
![Page 36: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/36.jpg)
Look at that lovely planet and never forget that we must do our best to save it! It is our home!
![Page 37: Space travel ls](https://reader036.vdocuments.net/reader036/viewer/2022062503/587d124c1a28abae148b5e9f/html5/thumbnails/37.jpg)
Here it goes: This is the entire observable Universe. And our place is in it. We are
like small ants in a giant jar.
