Days 1-3- Madrid/Toledo

Day 3: MadridDay 3: Madrid

• In the morning your local guide shows you Madrid’s most important sights

• Immerse yourself in the priceless artwork of the Prado’s vast collection

• Your afternoon is free to discover more of Madrid – perhaps you’d like to visit Retiro

Park, or explore the Puerta del Sol.

Day 4: MadridDay 4: Madrid

• Visit Toledo this morning, where you will experience medieval Spain

• Discover the Gothic Cathedral and El Greco’s painting in the Church of Santo Tomé• At a local restaurant, a hands-on Spanish cooking lessons will teach you to create a

typical Spanish dish• Return to Madrid, where you will eat like a Madrileño on an ACIS designed Tapas route!

Day 5: Cordoba/SevilleDay 5: Cordoba/Seville

• Pass through the plains of La Mancha to Córdoba, where you will enjoy a tour of the

city’s famous Moorish Mezquita

• Continue to Sevilla, the heart of Andalucía, for the overnight

Day 6: SevilleDay 6: Seville

• Today’s tour of Sevilla will show you the Gothic Cathedral, the burial place of

Christopher Columbus; the Alcázar, and the Giralda Tower.

Day 7: GranadaDay 7: Granada

• Journey to Granada, at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountains

• Later, explore the caves of the Sacramonte neighborhood, where you will learn the art

of flamenco during a flamenco lesson, special dinner, and professional flamenco show

Day 8: Granada/Costa del Day 8: Granada/Costa del Sol/MalagaSol/Malaga

• Tour the legendary Alhambra palace today – originally constructed as a fortress in the

9th century, it is the most magnificent Moorish palace in Spain.

• After exploring the Generalife Gardens, journey south to the Costa del Sol

Day 9: Costa del SolDay 9: Costa del Sol

• Rise early today for a high speed ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar into Africa!

• Arrive in Tangier, Morocco, where you will explore the Grand Socco and enjoy an

included lunch

• Return to the Costa del Sol for dinner and a night’s rest

Day 10: Depart for the USADay 10: Depart for the USA
