Deciding what is best for you and taking action is an important part of being a self-advocate
It is also important to know when to call on the help of one or more people

Challenge #1: You need to move your belongings to your
new place which is on the other side of town.
Questions: Do you think you can move your things
alone or do you need help? Do you have a car or truck or know
someone who does?

Challenge #2: You want to confront a boss who is unfair to
you.Questions:
Do you think this is an individual concern (just for you) or do other co-workers share your concern?
Do you know what you want to say? Would you like help? Do you feel safe going alone?

which says no guests after 6:00pm.Questions:
What do you want to do about it? Do you think others in your building are
upset with this rule too? Do you think you should find out who
made this rule?

Knowing when to ask for help from others is important because it allows other people to use their strengths and express their opinions, which makes the group stronger.
