Mirko Wormouth, Managing Director, TWICE Mirko hails from former East Germany where he left after the country's reunification to study law in Hamburg. Nine years, three law degrees and a book published on Chinese bankruptcy law later, he started to work as an associate lawyer for a large UK law firm only to discover that being a lawyer is the last thing he wanted to do. To the dismay of his mum he left law practice behind and has since been involved in a number of different ventures. Inspired by similar brands overseas, Tina and Mirko founded TWICE Fashion Accessories in January 2006. Mirko is mainly responsible for strategic direction, business development and investor relations. If not in the office, Mirko is spending time at home and in nearby Chaoyang Park with his wife Tina and their son Magnus. He's a passionate runner and has participated in international triathlons in New York and Beijing. Mirko loves reading, mostly on business (Jim Collins, Marcus Buckingham and Verne Harnish are his heroes) and self-improvement (books by Brian Tracy and Tony Robbins - he's been to one of Tony's "Walk-on-hot-coals-seminars" in London!). If he's on that rare holiday, a great Kurt Wallander detective story by Henning Mankell allows him to forget about all the trials and tribulations of a typical entrepreneur. Mirko is also the Beijing Chapter Membership Chair of global entrepreneur network EO (Entrepreneurs Organization).
