Teacher’s Notes
• Each of the following slides features one question. When discussion is held among more than 6 students, it is a good idea to organize it in the form of a “speed dating” activity.
“Speed dating” activityArrange the chair in two rows so that each of the
students are facing another fellow student.
(If the classroom doesn’t allow for this, then the students can simply be standing in two lines facing
each other).
The students will see a question projected on the whiteboard. They will have three minutes to discuss this issue with the person sitting/standing opposite to
them.
“Speed dating” activityWhen the instructor changes the slide, each person sitting in the front row needs to change their seat,
moving one seat to the right, so that everyone in the front row changes their places clockwise. The students in the back row remain in their seats (see the graph on
the next slide).
After the students in the first row make the move, everyone is facing a new speaking partner. Discuss the
new question with your new partner for two minutes, then the question will change again and the students sitting in the front row will have to move again as well.

next several slides) and each of the Students goes to a corner that corresponds to their personal opinion on this issue (Students who don’t agree
with the statement go to the corner
marked DISAGREE,
students who support the
statement, go to the corner marked
AGREE and so on).

Then each “corner” present their point of view to the other groups ( can either
be presented by one student or each student can present a paragraph of the speech). Remind the Students to
