Proceeds will help build a sustainable toilet with hand washing facility and acquire water supply equipment

• One of the primary missions of Manyu Element Cultural Association (MECA-USA), is to assist in providing access to quality healthcare and education on disease prevention strategies to the people of Manyu Division in Cameroon

• Thousands of children, women and the elderly die each year from preventable diseases such as typhoid, diarrhea, dysentery, cholera due to poor hygiene and sanitation.

• In most villages and cities in Manyu Division, vendors sell food and consumers buy these food items in an area where there is no running water, hand washing facilities and toilettes; contributing to the spread of microorganisms which are potential causes of diseases such as typhoid, diarrhea, dysentery and cholera. The proposed Flushed Toilet will minimize the transmission of microorganisms that cause diseases and prevent the spread of diseases among vulnerable children and elderly.

• MECA-USA is appealing to you for financial support to help build a toilet with hand washing facilities close to the Mamfe Motor-park and Market that will be accessible to vendors and consumers.

• Medical Supplies: has provided basic medical supplies like blood pressure cuffs, lenses (reading glasses) and blood glucose monitoring system with boxes of test strips and lancets worth thousands of dollars to local hospitals and health centers in Manyu Division.

-Established partnership with the Mamfe Nursing School to organize health fairs to help screen people on preventable diseases

  -Promotes AIDS/HIV Awareness: MECA-USA has worked relentlessly to promote AIDS/HIV awareness within its communities through its partnership with the voice of Manyu, a Rural Radio Station-School Supplies: provided textbooks and supplies to local village elementary schools to assist needy kids who otherwise cannot afford these supplies

• Orphanages: supported orphanages with clothes, shoes and school supplies worth thousands of dollars

Equipped a library with textbooks for health science and Nursing profession
