Master’s Level in Special Education
When a teacher has achieved a Master’s Degree in Special Education from any university, current practice is to accept the degree as completion of Saskatchewan Education’s Special Education Teacher Qualifications policy (1996).
Additional Qualifications Certificate
When a teacher is granted an Additional Qualifications Certificate from the Saskatchewan Ministry of Education for a Post-Degree Certificate in Education (e.g., but not limited to: Special Education, University of Saskatchewan, or a Certificate of Extended Studies in Inclusive Education, University of Regina), that teacher would also be accepted as a qualified Special Education Teacher and would not require their transcripts adjudicated by the Superintendent of Sector Support.
Note: The coursework listed within this catalogue is not exclusive as to what can be accepted towards Special Education Qualifications.
It represents only those courses that have been reviewed to date by the Special Education Personnel Qualifications Committee.

Ryerson University does not have a College or Faculty of Education. Students may graduate with a degree of Early Childhood Education, but The Early Childhood Education Degree is not recognized as an "education" degree. Check with Teacher Records in Regina for any individual presenting such a transcript. If the individual also has a one-year post-degree, she/he would then have credit for a B. Ed.
