Join us - The 2016 Summer Reading Program Open to all youth, this year’s themes are On Your Mark, Get Set...READ!(pre-K -Grade 6) and “Get in the Game” (Grades 7—12). Attend programs, see performers, read books, and win prizes! Children keep track of the time spent both reading and being read to, and earn a prize for minutes read. All reading counts: reading can be done anywhere, in any format. Entering book titles into our online system also counts towards the Governor's Summer Reading Challenge. Bwana Iguana brings Live reptiles July 25 @ 6:30 PM (Monday) All ages Bwana Iguana educates and entertains people of all ages with his collection of rare and exotic reptiles. Not to be missed…you might even get to hold a snake! SMOVEY fitness July 29 @ 1:00 PM (Friday) All ages Exercise and healthy living presented in song, dance and games in a fun story format. “I Spy” with Craig Norton August 4 @ 6:30 PM (Thursday) Ages 8-14 Get a behind the scenes peek at the studios where Walter Wick’s beloved “I spy” books are created then have a chance to make your own collage and photograph it. Mr. Gym Band August 5 @ 1:30 PM (Friday) Best suited for 8 & under Mr. Gym strives to motivate children to lead a healthy, active lifestyle and educate them about personal fitness and the positive effects it has on the body. Through his songs & lyrics, Mr. Gym is able to incorporate the importance of physical activity while having fun! Hip Hop Juggler August 8 @ 1:30 PM & 6:30 PM (Monday) All ages “The Hip-Hop Juggler” has been dazzling audiences with his brand of juggling for over a decade. His combination of style, interactive stunts, witty comedy, and world class juggling talent is sure thing to make this event a hit.
