The Key Chain special edition:
Fall Rally The beginning of a great year
Lighting the Torch of Service:
Fall Rally On Sunday October 7th, over 3,000 Key Clubbers attended the annual Fall Rally event that was hosted at Six Flags: Great Adventure. The weather was somber with dark clouds and occasional drizzles. The weather channel had announced that there would be an 80% chance of rain and possible thunderstorm but nothing could douse the flaming passion of the New Jersey District Key Club!
The rally started with a meeting of all the Key Clubs throughout the district at the and each lieutenant governor and district board member introduced themselves. Afterwards, the board announced the fund-raising goal for the year. Following, there was a brief ice breaker where the lieutenant governors helped “warm things up” by leading some exercises. Finally, the Key Clubbed engaged in the contest to see what club has the most spirit by cheering on their lieutenant governor after each name is called. Egg Harbor Township put up an exceptionally good fight but in the end were out cheered by another division. The closing ceremony ended and Key Clubbers poured into the park to go on the rides!

During Fall Rally, the district fundraising goal for the year was announced again. Each district of Key Club International announces a goal annually and for the past couple of years, New Jersey has surpassed the goal significantly. In fact, the past service year, New Jersey surpassed all other Key Club districts interna-
tionally. This year, New Jersey District choose the symbolic amount of :
60 2 23
$100,602.23 The goal is set high but with the whole New Jersey District cooperating as a whole, there is nothing that the New jersey District can’t accomplish! Below is an
explanation of what exactly each number represents to Key Club and to the ELIMINATE Project:
HEY KEY CLUB. WHY DID YOU GO TO FALL RALLY? A poll was take via Facebook asking why most of the Key Clubbers attended Fall Rally. Two years ago, my response would be amusement park rides and hanging out with my friends but now, I would pick divisional bonding. At first I thought Fall Rally was just for fun but then I realized that it’s more than that—it’s to bring to-gether a bunch of teenagers who share the same passion—to help their home school and community!
REGARDLESS OF THE REASON
WHY KEY CLUBBERS DECIDED
TO ATTEND FALL RALLY, EVE-
RYONE HAD A BLAST.
WHETHER IT WAS THE RIDES
OR NEW FRIENDSHIPS THAT
DEVELOPED—FALL RALLY
2012 IS A DAY TO REMEMBER.
SINCE KEY CLUB IS AN INTER-
NATIONAL CLUB—MEMBERS
FORM ALL OVER ATTEND THE
ANNUAL EVENT. ATTENDEES
MEET WITH FRIENDS THAT LIVE
FAR AWAY OR EVEN MAKE
NEW FRIENDS FROM OTHER
PARTS OF NEW JERSEY.
