The Digital/Analog Dental Laboratory
Over the past 20 years digital dentistry has become an integral part of Rotsaert Dental Laboratory. During that time we have learned efficient methods in working in a digital/analog environment. The cost of fabrication in this digital era is often misrepresented. Choosing a system that works for your size and style of lab is a very important decision.
This presentation will cover: Understanding where it began. Efficiency of a digital dental laboratory. Why open systems will be the norm. Prediction of what will happen in the future. How the dental technician will be an integral part of the future of dentistry.
Mark Rotsaert, CCBW, President, Emerald Dental Works
More than fifty years ago Mark's father, Henri Rotsaert, established Rotsaert Dental Laboratory in Hamilton, Ontario. The lab continues to be a formidable business today with Mark and his siblings at the helm.
Mark has been has been in the dental industry all his life and has been involved in the fabrication of digital dental prosthesis for more than 20 years. Like his father, he always looks for new alternatives in the digital world. Mark has knowledge of every system launched in the past decades. In 2014 after extensive research, Emerald Dental Works joined with exocad® to launch EmCAD Design Solutions and has also teamed with Carestream incorporating their intra oral scanner.
Mark brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that he will share. He has been published on Communication and Digital Dentistry as well as lectured and given numerous table clinics and presentations on digital dentistry.
