  PRESIDENT Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Confer with management and staff to discuss issues, coordinate activities and resolve problems. Appoint department heads or managers and assign or delegate responsibilities to them. Direct human resources activities, including the approval of HR plans and activities, selection of

directors and other high-level staff and establishment and organization of major departments. Review reports submitted by staff members to recommend approval or to suggest changes. Prepare budgets for approval, including those for funding and implementation of programs. Prepare and present reports concerning activities, expenses, budgets, government statutes and

rulings and other items affecting business or program services. Active engagement in leadership activities, as well as active involvement in external networking

benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.  

 

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Directly oversee and manage the day-to-day operations and activities of the organization, including client service and business development, financial performance, human resource management, contract negotiation and compliance with company policies.

Directly oversee and manage all aspects of staff administration, including training, salary administration, job descriptions, staff meetings, performance evaluations, office procedures and communications within the staff.

Contribute to new business development with lead generation and primary prospect pursuits. Foster a corporate culture to promote ethical practices and encourage individual integrity. DIRECTOR, DIGITAL STRATEGY Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop, guide and lead the implementation of overall digital strategy for the firm; work to ensure that digital strategy is represented appropriately for client accounts.

Help to drive business development opportunities (both organic and new). In collaboration with account teams and other members of the digital team, the Director will have various direct opportunities to sell digital capabilities.

Identify digital trends, understand consumer desires/behavior and align these with objectives to create marketing opportunities and solutions.

Educate and inspire account directors, general strategists, creative directors and media directors about best practices and emerging trends.

Develop online communication programs, including blogs, viral campaigns and digital storytelling; execute social networking and blogger outreach.

Must have a track record of successfully executing interactive programs that utilize word of mouth and social media to create online outreach, marketing and visibility.

SAE/SENIOR DIGITAL STRATEGIST Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Develop digital media strategies appropriate for client. Oversee and implement blogger relations tactics (develop relationships with bloggers, daily

blog monitoring). Manage online communications strategies across various social media platforms including

social networks, user-generated content sites and other web-based environments. Advise clients on key blogging opportunities for commenting, offering exclusive KOL to

blogger. Participate in client meetings and on conference calls. Stay current with emerging new media trends via daily online monitoring and community

networking events. Attend annual new media events across the country – including Netroots Nation, BlogHer

and SXSW. Execute social networking and blogger outreach. Engage in peer education and training. Advise/offer feedback to account teams on new media tactics. Act as “editor” of SSC Blog – seek out and engage employees to write posts on particular

subjects. Research, write and edit materials.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field. Three to five years of professional communications experience. Must have a solid grasp of public relations and Web 2.0 tools. Superior research, writing and editing skills and a basic understanding of HTML and common

Evaluate existing research, such as surveys, opinion polls or questionnaires. Identify and monitor clients’ competitors and research market conditions or changes in the

industry that may affect success. Write reports clearly and concisely, demonstrating the ability to provide insights, organize

materials and address objectives. Supervise dedicated group of interns in daily media monitoring and reporting activities. Manage subscriptions and electronic and hard copy library of publications. Work under minimal direction with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent

ASSISTANT ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Engage in occasional client contact on specific activities, follow-up and reporting. Participate in client meetings and develop reports on outcomes as needed. Monitor media and internet on behalf of clients and other agency interests. Develop and update media and internet contact lists. Assist in research and writing of media materials – backgrounders and press releases. Coordinate assembly and distribution of media materials. Media outreach – understand the client’s news story, develop pitch tailored to media

interests, proactively contact media and extensive follow-up. Consistently secure media placements. Begin to develop relationships with reporters covering clients’ issues. Track and develop media outreach and event results reports. Thoroughly understand resources and conduct comprehensive background research on

behalf of clients, new business efforts. Research and develop lists of organizations for community/professional outreach. Develop and edit documents on behalf of clients using Word, Excel and PowerPoint programs

as needed. Manage account team logistics; timelines, call reports, invoices, budgets, etc. Assist in video production – help in script development, attend shoots and edit sessions. Assist in managing logistics for medical meetings and special events. Assist on-site at medical meetings, media activities and special events. Assist in writing web content. Demonstrate knowledge of grammar and style. Proactively participate in staff meetings and development courses.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Political Science, Government or other relevant field is required.

Up to six months of professional public relations/agency experience; relevant internship experience strongly preferred.

Ability to work on multiple accounts concurrently. Solid oral communication, writing and editing skills. Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a faced-paced environment with multiple priorities.
