Barry MacKinnon, VP-Marketing & Airline Analysis • Bombardier Barry MacKinnon was appointed to his current position in Bombardier Aerospace Regional Aircraft in April 2002. Previously, he was Director of Program Strategy in Aircraft Programs where his group was tasked with market research, forecasting and strategic planning. Prior to assuming this role, he was Director of Airline Analysis for the Americas for Bombardier. He originally joined Boeing deHavilland as airline analyst in 1986 and then Canadair’s Regional Jet Division in 1991. He has been with Bombardier’s Regional Aircraft division since its inception in 1992. Dave Rosenberg, VP-Financial Planning & Analysis • RAASDavid Rosenberg was intimately involved in the planning and creation of Raytheon AirlineAviation Services (RAAS) in the fall of 2001. In his current position he is in charge ofstrategic planning, financial planning and analysis, and business development.

Dave is a 6-year employee of Raytheon Company, holding positions of increasingresponsibility at Raytheon’s Massachusetts headquarters and most recently, withinRaytheon Airline Aviation Services (RAAS) in Wichita, Kansas.

He holds a BS degree in Finance from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, andhas authored several market studies on both the cargo and 19-seat turboprop market, andtravels extensively in support of Beech 1900 sales.

Ben Bartel, President & CEO • AvCraft AviationBen Bartel began his career with a small, family-owned cable TV company in Ohio. Subsequentto the sale of that company and earning his MBA in Finance at New York University, hejoined Chappo & Company, a New York-based boutique investment company specializing ininvestment grade private placements. He later joined First Union National Bank in Charlotte,North Carolina, where he specialized in media and telecommunications lending.

In 1992 he left the bank to form Kabelmedia Holdings GmbH, a German cable TV companythat grew to be the fifth largest cable company in Germany. In 1999, Kabelmedia mergedwith Süweda AG to form PrimaCom AG, which had a successful IPO in 1999. Ben exited thenew company at the time of the IPO.

Ben then formed AvCraft in 1999 for aircraft maintenance and completion work, and inDecember 2002, agreed to purchase the former Fairchild-Dornier 328, 428 and Global Supportassets.

John Buckley, VP-Sales • ATR North AmericaJohn Buckley joined ATR in 1983 as Sales Director, and left in 1996 to join IPTN inIndonesia, who at the time was developing its own turboprop airliner. John stayed at IPTNfor three years, then returned to ATR in 1999 to assume his current position.

John is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Business, and iscurrently finishing up an International MBA at Shenandoah University on a part-time basis,while he sells ATR products full time.

Vern Raburn, President & CEO • Eclipse AviationSince its inception in 1998, Vern Raburn has led Eclipse Aviation in developing the Eclipse500 jet. With more than 25 years experience as a senior executive in the IT industry, Vern isa successful entrepreneur who has helped shape the course of the IT revolution and hightechnology industry. In the 1970s, he joined Bill Gates as one of the first employees atMicrosoft and served as President of the Consumer Products Division, responsible for thecompany’s entry into the retail channel.

Following his tenure at Microsoft, he served as Executive VP and General Manager ofLotus Development, where he played an integral role in the successful launch ofLotus 1-2-3. He has also served as Chairman and CEO of Symantec Corporation and SlateCorporation. Prior to founding Eclipse, Raburn worked as president of the Paul AllenGroup, overseeing high technology investments for Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen.

Carl Esposito, VP-Business/Regional/G.A. OEM Accts • HoneywellCarl Esposito is responsible for Honeywell’s system offerings to the OEM aircraft customers.In addition, he is responsible for the overall relationship management of these accounts.

Carl has worked in the Aerospace industry for more than 14 years, and has held positions ofincreasing responsibility in Engineering, Customer Support, Program Management, Salesand Marketing.

He has been responsible for the development of integrated systems architectures spanningavionics, electrical power, propulsion and utility systems. Additionally, he has managedthe large-scale development of integrated avionics systems in both business and regionalaircraft applications.

Carl holds a BSEE degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, an MBA, and a Mastersin Program Management. He is an active private pilot.

Tri Pham, Mgr.-Strategic Planning & Analysis • Pratt & Whitney Canada

Tri Pham joined Pratt & Whitney Canada in 1983 and worked for seven years as anaerodynamic engineer in the turbine area.

For three years, he was an account manager for the PW300 engine and has held his currentposition since 1993, for which he is responsible for business strategy, product planning, marketresearch and forecast as well as competitive analysis.

Prior to joining Pratt & Whitney Canada, he worked at Canadair in the advanced design andtechnology department.

He holds BS and MS degrees in mechanical engineering with honors, as well as an MBA inFinance from McGill University.

Michael Miller, Director-Market Planning & Analysis • Rolls-Royce NA

Mike Miller has more than 30 years of aviation experience having worked for two airlines -- including Presidential Airways and Delta Air Lines -- and three aerospace manufacturers -- including British Aerospace, Saab Aircraft of America and Fairchild Dornier. He has alsoconsulted for Ernst & Young and AVITAS. Prior to his current position with Rolls Royce, hewas Senior Director of Market Development at Fairchild Dornier.

Mike's present responsibilities with Rolls-Royce include forecasting aircraft and enginedemand within the business jet environment as well as performing market research into thetrends and drivers that impact corporate aircraft and regional markets.

Mike has a Bachelor’s degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, VA.

Francis Chao, Managing Director • UniworldAs Founder and Managing Director of Uniworld LLC, Francis Chao has for the past 15years successfully provided marketing and consulting services for international aviation-related companies wanting to establish and expand their business in China.

Since 1998, he has served as contractor with the FAA and US DoD to provide interpretation/consultation support in USA-China Civil/Military aviation exchange activities. He alsoproduces a monthly publication, China Civil Aviation Report (CCAR), the only Englishpublication, both online and print, focusing specifically on the China civil aviation industryissues and developments. He is also the North American Correspondent for the China CivilAviation magazine, the official publication of the CAAC.

He also organizes the annual China GA Forum to create a platform for the internationalaviation community to meet face-to-face with key aviation players in China, includingCAAC, aircraft manufacturers/operators, flight training schools, local governments, etc.

Brian T. Foley, Director-Marketing • Dassault Falcon JetBrian Foley brings with him over 23 years experience in the aerospace industry, includingthe last 18 years at Dassault Falcon Jet.

In addition to assisting the President, he oversees the sales and marketing support effortincluding strategic planning, new business and product development, market research, Webdevelopment, technical sales support, and the department’s financial and administrativematters. In addition, he keeps the industry’s finance, consulting and aircraft managementcompanies informed about Dassault and its products.

He previously worked for Boeing as a flight test engineer certifying the first Boeing 757.Later, he worked as a marketing manager in the Product Strategy and Development group.

Brian has a dual technical degree in aerospace and mechanical engineering from SyracuseUniversity and an MBA from Seattle University; he is a private pilot.

Dr. Kevin P. Michaels, Principal • AeroStrategy

Kevin Michaels is co-founder of AeroStrategy and manages its US office in Ann Arbor,Michigan. He has 17 years experience in aviation, which include a broad range of consultingexpertise developed from more than 60 engagements with leading aviation and aerospacecompanies in more than a dozen countries.

Kevin was previously a Principal with The Canaan Group and Director-Strategic Developmentwith Rockwell Collins Government Systems. He began his career as a project engineer withWilliams International.

Dr. Ronald J. Epstein, VP-Equity Research • Merrill LynchRonald J. Epstein joined Merrill Lynch in 2001 as an Industry Analyst.

He follows Aerospace/Defense and Multi-Industrial Companies with large aerospacecomponents. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, he was a research scientist working in theApplied Aerodynamics Technology Group at the Boeing Phantom Works.

During that time, he was also an adjunct faculty member in the Department of MechanicalEngineering at Washington University in St. Louis, where he taught courses on FluidDynamics and Control Systems.

Ron completed his MBA with honors from the Wharton School at the University ofPennsylvania. He also holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Duke Universityand a BA with highest honors from Skidmore College.

Gerald Bernstein has over 20 years of experience in aviation consulting. He specializes in theforecasting of aircraft and aircraft component sales, and in enhancing the competitivepositioning of clients within these markets.

Prior to joining Stanford Transportation Group, he spent 16 years at SRI International, wherehe had both professional (project) and management responsibility for the company’s civil airtransportation and aerospace industry projects. He was also Vice President in charge ofconsulting activities at BACK Associates.

Gerald has a BS degree in aeronautical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Instituteand a Master's from Stanford. He is Chairman of the National Research Council TransportationResearch Board's Aviation Economics and Forecasting Committee.

Michelle Stone was appointed to her current position as Director of Marketing for B/EAerospace’s Business Jet Group in 2002. She joined B/E Aerospace in April 1994 as theCorporate Marketing Analyst, based in Wellington, Florida.

From 1999 through 2001, Michelle served as Marketing Manager of B/E’s Seating ProductsGroup in the Winston-Salem, NC and Litchfield, CT facilities.

Prior to B/E Aerospace, she served as a Marketing Analyst with The Boeing Company.

A native of Michigan, Michelle holds a BBA degree in Marketing from Wichita StateUniversity and an MBA from Florida Atlantic University.

Scott Ashton, Director-Aircraft Finance • POGOScott Ashton has 13 years experience in the aviation industry and is the Director of AircraftFinance for POGO Jet, founded by Don Burr and Robert Crandall. Scott is responsible foraircraft acquisitions and financing arrangements for POGO. His diverse aviation backgroundincludes Marketing, Finance, Engineering, as well as flight instruction.

Prior to working at POGO, Scott was the Manager of Corporate Aircraft ServicesDevelopment at GE Commercial Finance Corporate Aircraft. Prior to GE CommercialFinance, he was Marketing and Programs Manager at Goodrich Pumps and Engine Controls,and began his career as an engineer for GE Aircraft Engines in Lynn, MA.

Scott received his BSME with an aeronautics concentration from Worcester PolytechnicInstitute. He completed GE Aircraft Engine’s Advanced Course in Engineering and earnedan ME Degree from University of Hartford, and MBA in Finance from the Lally School ofBusiness at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
