It was mighty tasty this year, everyone seemed happy with the event. It even sprinkled during supper, it sprinkled more on the Webers cobra so we let them use an umbrella. It poured down really hard when going home through Marble Falls, I heard some-where that Falcons don't need windshield wipers but that's not even true??? Sept.13th.at the MOCA Car Show in Georgetown found Kelly and Marie also Mark and Cyndy in the rain an cold at Mac Hiak Ford BUT winning in their classes, super nice trophies. Sept.19th.Bob and Millie's Friday night supper at Julie's Cocino was truly awesome 36 hungry, thirsty, boisterous members and quest showed up to eat. Everyone had a great time. This is a fun laughter filled oc-casion. Many thanks to Bob And Millie!!! Sept.20th. Gatesville was rained out at least I know of no one who went. We all won trophies cept we didn't????? A group also went to Briggs, you will have to ask Ron A. about that show. That is all I can remember about the past items, so now for the new. Things we might do Oct.3rd is Friday Night Fever let it get BIGGER!!! y'all show up, tell everyone you know about it. Oct.11th.Kingsland Fallfest at the Community Center starting at 10:am till you get bored. SLAP!! SLAP!! - SNAP OUT OF IT FRANK!!!! Huh? What happened? I don’t remember what happened for the last few seconds. Something came over me. Must have been the fumes. You folks haven’t seen much of your compiler of these monthly gems of prose and pictorial splendor over the last couple of months. Rest assured, he is still alive and well and enjoying what he is doing. Even though the powers to be have cut his salary again, he refuses to loosen his death grip on the editorial control handles. In this issue, there are a few pictures of some of the items for sale at the sale held at our late beloved mem-ber, Ron McMinimy’s place. The GM motorhome is one of the most beautiful in existence.

A TALE OF TWO STINGRAYS

Occasionally, we still take out the old ‘67 ‘Vette for an outing, so it took me to evening Mass at Our Mother of Sorrows in Burnet on a Saturday evening. After Mass, at the Valero station at the junction of 281 and 29, I spied a new C7 ‘Vette in the parking lot. I was curious, so I decided to drive the old ‘67 onto the lot to see what a “real” StingRay looks like. I pulled up next to a 2015 C7, and the owner was seated behind the wheel, with his wife in the passenger’s seat. He rolled down the window, and I told him that I wanted to see what a “real” StingRay looked like. The following pictures were the result. The owners were from the Dallas area and had owned several ‘Vettes, with their C7 being the latest. The driver was impressed to see a one owner ‘Vette with all the original docu-mentation. We shared several chuckles as to which of the two ‘Vettes was the “real” StingRay. At the time, I was wearing my LARC blue polo shirt with our logo. The pictures on one of the following pages are the result of our meeting.
