spinal cord injury: recovery treatment

Spinal Cord Injury Recovery Treatment Spinal cord injury recovery is a process that must be intensively cared for and the results derive from months of training and specialized feedback. While the term of paraplegia covers a wide range of impairments, the most affected lose their ability to walk and will spend the rest of their lives in a wheelchair. A common misunderstanding about paraplegics is that they are unable to move their legs. While it is true for some other people paraplegics may be able to stand or walk, depending on how severe the lesion is. Paraplegia means lower limb damage, not complete loss of their activity. Some people with this trauma have higher damage of the upper chest, and can not move or feel anything below the lesion. Some are affected only by the pelvis down, and may be able to lift their legs up to the hips. Others may only be partially affected below the lesion, and may be able to walk short distances with or without a device, such as the drive or stick. Another common misunderstanding is that paraplegics are disabled people. The fact is that with proper rehabilitation and training, most complete paraplegics can return to independent living, including going back to school or work, driving a car and have a family. “Paraplegia” means the complete exam a physical therapist performs before a patient and he must show highly professional and tremendous patience and goodwill. The goal of recovery is “to help patients help themselves”, which means: to make good use of the body to compensate for the paralyzed; to make them accept their disability, considering that many resources are useful to him and the others and that life can offer him enough satisfaction. Spinal cord injury recovery is the most important part of the program that Neuroxcel facility offers to its patients. With intense care, highly geared training devices and the best physical therapists in the country, recovery is no longer a limitation. Patients here are trained both physically and mentally. The C.A.S.T. program offers real hope for people with these traumatic injuries and now patients can live longer, stay more active and be independent.

Neuroxcel’s experienced trainers are here to help clients recover from spinal injuries and other disorders by constantly working with them in developing exercises programs that sends sensory information to train memory into stimulation of walking.

Spinal cord injury recovery is necessary and the traditional rehabilitation programs usually are not as effective as the services offered by Neuroxcel. Here you can workout each body part, with the guidance of experienced physical therapists, breaking all the limitations you once were facing. The first day in the rehabilitation facility is the first step in changing your life by increasing your strength and overcoming all the physical challenges. Here, with intense work, people discover new aspects of their recovery, all the stages they will go through in the process and they learn how to live independent and hope is a major factor into the process of recovery. Neuroxcel is aiming at that and the success comes with the price of rigorous activity and intensive care of its clients. Neuroxcel offers hope for people with stroke, spinal cord injury, or traumatic brain injury to regain strength and independence through recovery and rehabilitation. Neuroxcel’s Comprehensive Activitybased Strength Training (C.A.S.T®) Recovery and rehabilitation program maximizes individual results. More information visit http://neuroxcel.com/
