NAMING THE COMMUNITY CENTRE ROOMS

Hello community members

I am looking for input on naming the upstairs meeting rooms at the

Centre!

Instead of room 1, 2, 3 and Chief and council board room or New

Splatsin Room, if you have idea let me know. Ideas and questions to

ponder, like;

• Animals like the elk room, moose room, Deer room?

• What are some ideas of animals we see in our reserve here

Splatsin.

Let me know what you think! Please drop by and give me your

At a Duly Convened meeting of Splatsin Chief &

Council held on February 21, 2017 at Splatsin I.R. #2.

The following motion was moved, seconded and passed.

Paper Laminate Certificate of Indian Status Cards issued to:

Splatsin Band members will be charged $10.00 and Non-Splatsin

members will be charged $45.00.

For all cards issued, this includes ‘Renewal’, ‘First Card’, ‘Lost Card’,

‘Stolen Card’, and ‘Replacement’.

Secure Certificate of Indian Status Card applications will be

charged as follows:

Splatsin Band members $10.00 and

Non-Splatsin members $65.00.

Summary of Calls for Service on the

Splatsin Reserve: November 2017

REPORT CRIMES THAT AFFECT THE

WELL-BEING OF OUR COMMUNITY

This summary of police calls for service is intended to advise

community members of what is occurring in the community

and to encourage community members to report all

suspicious activities. ****Some files may be left out to protect

an investigation*****

Enderby RCMP Non-Emergency (250) 838-6818 In Case of

Emergency Call 911

(1) On November 1, 2017, the manager of the Tim Horton's, 5655 Hwy 97A, Enderby, reported to the RCMP that a male customer had been making inappropriate comments to one of her employees. Male spoken to and agreed to stay away from the location. 2017-25850 (2) On November 2, 2017, the RCMP received a report of an erratic driver near the 5000 block of Hwy 97A, Enderby. The caller did not obtain a license plate. The vehicle was not located. 2017-25954 (3) On November 2, 2017, the RCMP assisted BCAS with a male that had fallen inside a residence. BCAS had safety concerns due to the number of intoxicated people inside the residence. There were no problems when the police arrived and the male was assessed by BCAS. 2017-25958

(4) On November 6, 2017, Cst. Karla IVANY responded to a report of a hit and run on Spruce Rd, Enderby, BC. The home owner witnessed a vehicle slid off the road into the ditch on their property. The vehicle caused damage to the home owner's fence and to a parked truck on the property. A suspect was identified and admitted to the offence. 2017-26190 (5) On November 7, 2017, a female reported to the RCMP that she lost her purse at the Esso Gas Station, 5655 Hwy 97A, Enderby. 2017-26298 (6) On November 14, 2017, the RCMP received a report of a deer that had been hit on the side of the highway near the 5000 block of Hwy 97A, Enderby, BC. JPW was advised. 2017-26837 (7) On November 19, 2017, the RCMP were called to a party on Enderby Mable Lake Rd. An intoxicated female was trying to fight people inside the residence. The female was transported to her residence. 2017-27153 (8) On November 18, 2017, the RCMP received a report from a male who had been threatened by a friend. Both parties had been drinking. 2017-27164 (9) On November 21, 2017, the RCMP received a report from a female stating she is receiving unwanted text messages from an ex-boyfriend. Prior to police involvement, the female had advised the male to stop sending messages and she did not want to the male to be spoken to by the police. 2017-27308

(10) On November 21, 2017, the RCMP attended a residence on Enderby Grindrod Rd to conduct a curfew check on a male bound by a Probation Order. The male was not home. The RCMP followed up with the Bail Supervisor who confirmed that the male had moved out of the area. 2017-27350 (11) On November 23, 2017, the RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver near the Starlight Drive-In, 5341 Hwy 97A, Enderby. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted. The driver was sober. 2017-27467 (12) On November 25, 2017, the RCMP responded to a report of a male acting suspicious near Lassertie Dr, Enderby, BC. The male was believed to be intoxicated and was seen running around naked in his yard. The male left prior to police attendance. 2017-27599 (13) On November 27, 2017, Cst. Karla IVANY responded to a report of a male who had threatened a female. Cst. Karla IVANY spoke to the male with a mental health worker. The threat was unsubstantiated and the male was going to follow up with mental health. 2017-27739 (14) On November 28, 2017, the RCMP received a report that a female was kicking the front door of a residence on Zyprian Rd, Enderby, BC. The female left prior to police attendance. Cst. Karla IVANY attended the residence with another member. The complainant was not interested in pursuing charges. Drug related. 2017-27812 (15) On November 28, 2017, the RCMP received a request from a female to check on the wellbeing of a male. The RCMP checked on the male and there were no issues. 2017-27889

(16) On November 29, 2017, a male reported to the RCMP that while he was driving home, his car brushed the side of an intoxicated male hitchhiker causing damage to the passenger side mirror. The hitchhiker was not injured and was provided a drive back to his residence. 2017-27965 (17) On November 29, 2017, Cst. Karla IVANY responded to a report of a suspicious male at the Esso, 5655 Hwy 97A, Enderby, BC. The male had been hanging around the above location for a period of time. Cst. Karla IVANY spoke to the male who stated he had been waiting for a friend and admitted that he may have looked suspicious. 2017-28008 (18) On November 30, 2017, Cst. Karla IVANY and other RCMP members conducted a road check at the intersection of Enderby Mable Lake Rd/ Enderby Grindrod Rd. 100 vehicles were checked. One violation ticket and several written warnings were issued. 2017-28030 (19) On November 30, 2017, the RCMP responded to a report that a deer had been hit near the 500 block of Hwy 97A, Enderby, BC. The deer was located deceased and removed by JPW. 2017-28058
