A wonderfully imaginative interactive world of stories and characters for children and young people to discover,createdbyartistMaeveClancy.Giantpop-upbooks, cut paper scenes and comics to illustrate stories that were written by school children in the 1930’s – how they lived, worked and played, the local myths and legends. Fairytales, forts, banshees and superstitions also feature within a magical paper landscape in an original story written by the artist using archive material as inspiration. Stories, histories and characters combine to create visuals that celebrate folklore in this exciting and enchanting exhibition.
