Installation General Recommendations

At the time of the outdoor unit installation, the following precautions should be taken:

l Select a place where there is no constant movement of people.

l Select the driest and ventilated place as possible.

l Avoid installing it close to sources of heat or vapors, exhausts or inflammable gases.

l Avoid installing the units with the fan facing a wall directly.

l Avoid installing in places where the equipment will be exposed to predominant winds, strong and frequent rain and excessive humidity/dust.

l Avoid curves and unnecessary bends in the connection tubes.

l Follow the required spaces for installation, maintenance and air circulation in accordance with the figures 1 and 2.

Units should be assembled inaccordance with the figure 2a.In this way, the interconnectionconnections will be close to thewall.

For outdoor units assembledwith the electrical box facingthe same side (one facing theother), it is recommended aspacing of 600 mm.

NOTE

It is important that the installation be done over a firm and resilient surface; we recommend a base of concrete, fixing the unit to the base via screws and using rubber pads between both to avoid undesirable noises.

The minimum distance h = 30mm as shown in Fig-3 is recommended.

It is recommended to not directly install unitover irregular surfaces, such as grass; this canharm the unit leveling (figure 4).

CAUTION

Check the existence of a perfect flow viahydraulic drain (if any) placing the water insidethe outdoor unit.

l It is recommended to not install outdoor unit in steps in order to avoid heated air from one unit to cross the other (figure 5).

l The condensation air discharge side must always be facing the area without obstructions such as walls.

When the outdoor unit installation is made over cross arm brace, the following aspects should be observed:

l The minimum distances and the recommended spaces should be as per figures 1, 3 and 6.

l The dimensions should be correct for all parts (cross arm brace, beams, supports, screws, etc.) used for installation of unit.

l The wall supports should be rigid in order to avoid accidents such as falls etc.

7. Recommended layout for the installation of multiple outdoor units

The installation of more than one outdoor unit requires minimal distances between/among the units installed, the distance from surrounding walls etc. in order to make optimum air circulation and an easy access to interconnecting pipes and the electrical boxes of the units.

The following figures show the recommended layouts for the installation of two, three or four units.
