The Malaysian SectionIEEE IMS Malaysia Chapter

The foundation of the Islamic University, Islamabad was laid on the first day of the fifteenth century Hijrah i.e. Muharram 1, 1401 (November 11, 1980). This landmark of the beginning of the new Century symbolizes the aspirations and hopes of the Muslim Ummah for an Islamic renaissance. The university was created to produce scholars and practitioners who are imbued with Islamic ideology, whose character and personality conforms to the teachings of Islam, and who are capable to cater to the economic, social, political, technological and intellectual needs of the Muslim Ummah. Presently30,000 students are enrolled in the university including 2200 foreigner students in different disciplines. University has two campuses. New Campus is spread over 704 acres of land in H-10 Sector.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology (FET) was established in year 2007 with Department of Electronic Engineering as its first constituent department. The Department of Electronic Engineering already existed in the university under the Faculty of Applied Sciences. The foundation stone of an independent building block, namely Engineering Block was laid in April 2007 which is inaugurated in July, 2009. The present Electronic Engineering Department is one of the largest departments within the University with a thriving undergraduate and postgraduate student population of over 1000. This includes over 150 female students currently enrolled in the faculty. The syllabus is continually under development and review, in line with the requirements of various professional bodies (such as Higher Education Commission and Pakistan Engineering Council) that accredit our programs, and the latest technological needs of industry.

The Department of Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Technology, IIUI is sorting out its 1stInternational Conference on Intelligent Systems Engineering (ICISE 2016) on 15-17 January, 2016 with cooperation of HEC. ICISE 2016 aims to bring together leading academic and industrial researchers, scientists, engineers and practitioners to exchange latest research ideas, methods, results, and share experiences, on all theoretical, experimental and applied aspects of Intelligent Systems Engineering. ICISE 2016 will provide a unique interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and discuss the most recent innovations, trends, practical challenges encountered and intelligent solutions adopted in their respective fields. The three days International Conference will be held in the wonderful Capital City of Pakistan, at the International Islamic University, Old Campus Auditorium (Faisal Masjid), Sector E-8. The Foreign and Pakistani specialists will be welcomed to convey their Keynote talks, contributory addresses and notice presentations on the gathering subjects. The points are chosen to expand on the subject of the conference regarding the new intelligent systems era innovations in Pakistan. This gathering offers an open door for architects, researchers, experts, policymakers, financial specialists and

The youthful architects/experts will be given an opportunity to present their discoveries on the gathering points.
