This is a family oriented event, formed in memory of Nathan Lopez who we lost in January 2009, at the age of 37. Nathan grew up in Glendora, played baseball as a youth for Glendora Little League, as well as baseball and football for Glendora High School where he graduated with the class of ’89. He was also a Veteran, who served our country with the United States Navy, a husband and a father. Nathan not only made a lasting impact on his family and friends, but members of the community as well. Saturday, August 20th will mark the third year for our annual event. The softball tournament will be played at Glendora’s Louis Pompei Sports Park and the dinner will be held at the Glendora Legion Building. The event is designed to bring members of the community and businesses like yours together for a fun exciting day and evening. Last year we had over two hundred participants – over one hundred softball players that ranged in ages from 6, to sixty-something and another one hundred that came out just to support, watch and catch up with friends. This year we are looking to almost double attendance. Sergio’s in Glendora will cater the dinner. In addition to the dinner, we will have music, dancing, raffle and door prizes along with the ceremonial trophy awards given to the team champions. This is the area that we could use your assistance. If you or your business would like to donate an item, gift certificate or any other item to be raffled, that would be greatly appreciated. We are also accepting sponsors to help fund this event. In exchange for sponsorship, we are offering a variety of advertisements for your business. Not only will you be showing your community that you care, but opening up your business to potential new clientele. All of the proceeds from this event will go to Nathan’s widow Amy, and sons Donovan 9 and Daniel 7. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Sean Lopez at (909) 225 7511.
