On Saturday August 16th, 2014 American Kinetics and North Atlanta High School will present the 2014 SoopaFitt Family Field

Day. This Health and Wellness Expo and Back to School Community Concert taking place at the North Atlanta High school

campus will provide health and wellness education, live entertainment, health screenings, fitness trainings, food and beverage vendors, and more.

SoopaFitt is a 21st century public engagement scope of work that makes available obesity prevention strategies to the global community. As communicated by the center for disease control obesity is preventable. Additionally the center defines obesity as an act of over consuming power that causes debilitating consequences to individuals, families, groups, organizations, communities and cultures of society. The center also measures the impact of obesity as economic, social, personal and medical costs. It is within the context that obesity is preventable that stakeholders have created, designed and established SoopaFitt. North Atlanta High School, the home of the Warriors, the oldest International Baccalaureate Diploma program in the Southeast and, most importantly, a community of students, families and teachers known for their warmth, diversity and school spirit. With a current student enrollment of 1,290, the completely renovated school’s campus is situated on a 56-wooded acres atop a hill just south of the Chattahoochee River and the city’s northern boundary. Anchoring the campus is an 11-story, high-rise building that spans a lake and offers dramatic views of urban Atlanta’s skyline in all directions.
