OUR IMPERATIVE

To never undervalue or disregard our members, our community, our sponsors and our supporters.

To provide the right environment for members of all ages, genders, skill-levels and aspirations.

To provide an inclusive, tolerant, community-minded cricket club that recognises and embraces the wonderful diversity of its community constituents.

To never sacrifice the values that cricket represents in order to achieve success.

To provide leadership on and off the field and always conduct ourselves in a manner that our younger members can proudly emulate.

YOURBENEFITS

St Ives Cricket Club provides a sustainable sporting club that has been a part of the community for over a hundred years. We take our responsibility to the community and to our sponsors very seriously, as our club is a component and reflection of both. We provide sponsors an opportunity to display their commitment in aligning with and contributing to a community-based organisation. We also provide numerous opportunities to promote your business:

Distribution of quarterly newsletters and an annual report to all current members and life members, along with ongoing distribution of both from our website.

A comprehensive website, providing regular and relevant updates throughout the season proper.

A clubhouse that is used by thousands of players throughout the season.

A clubhouse that is visible to residents and hosted sporting sides.

Signage that is available to thousands of motorists daily along Mona Vale Road.

Promotional material, such as flyers and local paper advertisements.

WHOARE WE?

The St Ives Cricket Club’s known involvement in the community most likely dates past the Federation of Australia. The earliest recorded match dates back to 1902, with cricket in the region stemming back a further thirty years. This places it as one of the oldest surviving district cricket clubs in New South Wales. St Ives Cricket Club subsequently became a foundation club of the Hornsby, Ku-ring-gai and Hills District Cricket Association (HK&HDCA) upon its formation on March 11, 1926.

St Ives Cricket Club have entered the most teams since the inception of the Association and in 2008/09 there were over a hundred registered players in six grades; spanning A-grade to D-Reserves. Of the six entered sides, five secured semi-final berths.

The St Ives Cricket Club is based at our clubhouse located at “the Home of Cricket”, Hassell Park. Hassell Park runs along Mona Vale road in St Ives and signage at the ground is clearly visible to traffic.

The clubhouse is a shared premise with the St Ives Junior Cricket Club and St Ives Rugby Club. The Hassell Park clubhouse premises are called ‘home’ by over a thousand members of the respective clubs and host a wide-range of teams throughout the season.
