Townsville City Council continually looks at innovative ways to engage our corporate and community sectors. Council's Together Townsville program provides opportunities for organisations to partner with council to deliver identified community initiatives. Together Townsville aims to develop long term strategic partnership with organisations for the sponsorship of council initiatives that benefit our city and provides tangible benefits to partners and sponsors.
INITIATIVE OVERVIEW – T150 Together Townsville continues to strengthen its partnerships with the corporate and community sectors for the sponsorship of council initiatives that benefit our City. One of the biggest celebrations that our city has witnessed will be Townsville 150. On February 2016, Townsville City Council will kick start a year-long celebration, marking 150 years since being declared a municipality. During the year-long salute, Townsville City Council will deliver a range of festivals, events, concerts, exhibitions and activities to explore our community’s rich heritage and celebrate the evolution of our vibrant and colourful culture. As 2016 approaches we need your support and call for organisations to become the official sponsors of Townsville 150 (T150). Activities will range from the official ceremony with the Mayor raising the flag, to Townsville Yarn series to Pacific Festival to Gala Dinner to an Air Show. PARTNERSHIP PROPOSAL Sponsorship Options: Official T150 Partners:
The Together Team will work with you to identify leveraging opportunities that will maximize your return on investment through opportunities such as speaking presentations, distribution options, engagement/networking opportunities and advertising and promotional opportunities for our official T150 partners.
A special ‘Official Sponsors’ band will be developed to include on major collateral for the promotion of T150 events, including T150 event flags.
The Together Townsville Team will work with each official sponsor to identify their sponsorship needs and negotiate best benefits options and opportunities throughout the 2016 year.
There are three levels of partnership, Platinum, Gold and Silver. Below are the standard benefits under each category. As mentioned, the team will work with each sponsor to identify best benefit options.

SPONSORSHIP BENEFITS The following are examples of benefits that can be negotiated for sponsored initiatives. The benefits provided will depend on level of funding provided, type of initiative chosen and alignment with council’s marketing campaign to ensure equity and consistency across all partnerships and sponsorships. SUMMARY
The T150 is a significant milestone for Townsville. Our community is fortunate that a number of business, community groups and individuals choose to participate and support the many activities we have. However, to ensure that we continue to improve and maintain the many wonderful activities that contribute to the fabric of our community, we need your support. The T150 activities planned for 2016 require significant collaborations, funding and resourcing.
