To echocardiography enthusiasts in the Asian-Pacific region,

On behalf of Asian-Pacific Association of Echocardiography (AAE), I like to invite you to our next annual scientific and

educational meeting, ECHO ASIA 2020 (www.echoasia2020hk.org), to be held in Hong Kong from May 22nd to 24th,

2020 under the directorship of Dr. Alex Lee of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. The meeting will be designed for

beginners as well as advanced learners in echocardiography with focus on structural heart disease, heart failure, car-

diomyopathy, and arrhythmia. There will be workshops for beginners and scientific sessions for presenting the most

up to date knowledge in echocardiography. There will be international faculty from the EACVI , American Society of

echocardiography, and 10 AAE member societies or working groups (Australian, Chinese, Indian academy, Japanese,

Korean, Philippine Saudi Arabia, Taiwan and Thailand as well as the organizing group in Hong Kong).

Echocardiography continues to be the main diagnostic imaging and hemodynamic tool for cardiac patients. It re-

quires optimal imaging technique and proper interpretation as well as application to patient care. These can be

accomplished by continuous training of physicians and sonographers who perform and interpreted echocardiography

examination. We also need to continue clinical investigation to search for more reliable and practical applications

of echocardiography. AAE was established in 2013 to accomplish these goals of echocardiography Education and col-

laborative research in the Asian-Pacific region. We have held 6 annual scientific meetings and established valuable

educational materials in the AAE web site (aaecho.org). The future of the AAE will depend on active participation of

physicians and sonographers who are interested in echocardiography. We will also encourage you to become a mem-

ber of the AAE to support and encourage the growth and the maturity of the association.

We are very excited about his upcoming Echo Asia 2020 in Hong Kong, and looking forward to seeing you there.

With great honor and pleasure, Hong Kong will be the host city for ECHO ASIA 2020. On behalf of the Local Organizing

Committee and the Asian Pacific Association of Echocardiography, we cordially invite you to participate in the 3rd

ECHO ASIA 2020 to be held from 22 to 24 May at the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine.

The Scientific Committee has prepared a world class 2.5-day program showcasing the latest research and findings in

the entire field of echocardiography as well as delivering the benchmark for best practice through the participation

of a long list of internationally renowned speakers.

We are excited to bring to you multiple hands-on workshops on 3D echocardiography, strain analysis, POCUS (point-

of-care ultrasound), echo simulators, and 3D printing. ECHO ASIA 2020 will be an excellent platform for cardiologists,

surgeons, emergency physicians, anesthesiologists, trainees, allied health professionals, healthcare experts in the

field and industry partners for learning and networking opportunities.

We welcome your active participation in the congress by submitting abstracts for presentation at the free oral paper

and poster sessions. We are confident that our participants will have a remarkable knowledge exchange through this

platform.
