SUMMER JOB MIAMI DOLPHINS
The Miami Dolphins are interested in hiring 2 students for summer em-ployment to work on their Special Events/Operations Promotions team. These individuals will assist with marketing our special events (summer festivals and Soccer games) by answering phones, pass-ing out fliers, and selling tickets over the phone. Each position would be for $10/hour, 30 hours/week and would end approximately August 7th. Interested candidates send their resume to Samantha Johnson, [email protected]
RICHELLE CARACH
Richelle “Riki” Carach is en-joying her summer with the Fort Myers Miracle through her Practicum ex-perience. Here she is with her su-pervisor, B.J. Potter, selling tennis balls for the launch-a-ball promotion.
AROUND THE FLORIDA STATE LEAGUE Over the last three weekends, I have had the opportunity to visit with our NSU students at three different FSL ballparks. The League’s tagline not only refers to the players but the many stu-dent interns who are selling tickets to running promotions. We thank the FSL teams who have given our students so many great opportunities! Professor Olson

SCENES FROM HAMMOND FIELD
The Fort Myers Miracle are known for their promo-tions. On this night the fans welcomed Craig Sager of TNT who got his start in Fort Myers and was celebrat-ing his birthday. He threw out the honorary first pitch and led the singing of “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.”
TNT’s Craig Sager
The ballgame is over but there is still the clean up af-ter the last promo-tion of the night, launch-a-ball. It’s all smiles when it’s done!
