This brief involves designing and implementing a performance improvement programme for
another person, to meet identified development needs in one selected
sport.

You must:1. Identify an appropriate person
2. Create a detailed plan (including training targets)
3. Outline and justify sports coaching approaches
4. Implement the programme (complete week by week review)5. Evaluate success
6. Draw conclusions and present the findings
Appropriate Person
Must be:- Someone who is competitively involved
in sport- A reliable person who will turn up for
training sessions- Someone with a willingness to improve- Someone who can give up some time
for additional training (3-4 times per week)
Plan
This must include: A detailed sporting history of the individual
An overview of their current level of performance (include various methods of gathering info. E.g. match analysis and
standardised tests) Rationale behind methods of training
chosen Targets you aim to achieve

Development
This is where you actually lead an individual through a training
programme for 8 weeks. You will take their training sessions a
minimum of 3 times a week over this time. The sessions will focus on the weaknesses you identified in an aim to achieve the targets
you set.
Development
You must monitor the sessions over this time by ensuring a training
diary is completed by the individual and by yourself. You
must also re-test mid way through and at the end of the programme.
Project
This must include:Summary of training programme
Detailed description of each sessionPhotos of exercises used
A detailed description of how principles of training have been
appliedA detailed description of the
physiological adaptations that have occurred (Human Phys NAB)

Evaluation
This is to be 1000 words long and is a summary of what you have done and an evaluation of it’s success. Did you reach the targets? If so

you must have selected the appropriate individual and identified the sport
Thursday 14th January
Plan will be completed during double period
