IntroductionIntroduction

As the nations first youth sports news network, KSNN strives to give every youth athlete an opportunity to tell us their story. Serving as the voice of the youth athlete, we want to know about their exciting accomplishments both on and off the field. We look forward to partnering with you to share your youth athlete’s stories through the creation of their very own sports page!

IMPACT OF SPONSORSHIPSIMPACT OF SPONSORSHIPSSponsors play an important role in the support of youryouth athlete’s sports page. Sponsorships help to offsetthe costs of creating and hosting your child’s sportspage(s), along with providing an added revenue source toyou and your athlete, which can help in meeting some ofyour families budget needs as your child continues theirinvolvement in sports.

In appreciation of your willingness to take a proactiverole in your child’s sports development, KSNN proposes arevenue share that will enable everyone to benefit fromthe support of sponsors. An explanation of the revenue share follows on the next page.

REVENUE SHAREREVENUE SHARE

Revenue Share Levels:

1. Level 1 = 60% to KSNN; 40% to Parent/Guardian for benefit of Athlete. *Parent/Guardian secures sponsors for their athlete’s sports page(s) without assistance from KSNN (opens and closes the deal on their own).

2. Level 2 = 70% to KSNN; 30% to Parent/Guardian for benefit of Athlete. *Parent/Guardian secures sponsors for their athlete’s sports page(s) with some assistance from KSNN (needs help from KSNN with opening or closing the deal).

3. Level 3 = 80% to KSNN; 20% to Parent/Guardian for benefit of Athlete. *Parent/Guardian has no involvement in securing sponsors for athlete’s sports page(s).

Payments based on net totals.

STEPS TO SPONSORSHIPSTEPS TO SPONSORSHIP1. Identify potential sponsors who you believe would be willing to sponsor your youth athlete.

Consider family members, companies you and your family have done or currently do business with, health care providers for your family, current and previous associates… To assist you with this step we have included a Sponsor Prospect Industry List (industries to consider) and a Sponsor Prospect Contact Sheet to record your prospects contact details.

2. Complete a Player Profile for your athlete. Be sure to include a picture (scan onto the profile). It’s important to introduce your athlete to your sponsor prospect, both in person as well as on “paper”. The Player Profile allows you to leave something tangible with your prospect after you have contacted them. It also provides additional information to them about who your child is.

3. Make extra copies of the KSNN Fact Sheet, the Website Opportunities Price Sheet and the Sponsorship Commitment Letter. These three documents will complete the packet you will present to your sponsor prospect. The KSNN Fact sheet provides a brief summary on KSNN. The Website Sponsorship Opportunities outlines the various sponsorship options for your prospect. You will collect the Sponsorship Commitment Letter once your prospect confirms their intent to support your athlete.

STEPS TO SPONSORSHIPSTEPS TO SPONSORSHIPcont’dcont’d

You and your youth athlete are now ready to contact your prospects about sponsorship. We strongly recommend that you and your child work this process together. It affords your child an opportunity tosharpen their communication skills, as well as educating them on the “business” of sponsorships, a valuable life lesson.

A minimum of $150 is required to produce your child’s initial sports page. This includes one story, one face to face interview and a cover page. A sample script is included to help you with your initial pitch. Good luck!

THE INTAKETHE INTAKE

Once you have met the minimum sponsorship requirement for your child’s sports page, your next step is to complete the KSNN Intake process by doing the following:

1. Complete the Intake form for your athlete. This provides KSNN with background information on your athlete and a point of reference for their story.

2. Complete and sign the Authorizations To Reproduce. One needs to be completed for the athlete, and one for the parent(s) or guardian(s). This authorizes KSNN to reproduce yours and your athletes image and likeness on behalf of content produced by our network. Include this with your intake form when forwarding to the network.

3. Email your Intake form, Authorizations To Reproduce, and any completed Sponsorship Commitment Letters to [email protected]. A KSNN representative will contact you upon receipt to schedule a consult for the collection of your sponsorships and the initial production phase for your athletes sports page(s).
