Now more than ever, discerning demands from patients have increased the requirement for more esthetic, natural looking restorations that has a tooth like surface.

SOLARE is a visible light-cured (MFR)micro-fine hybrid resin composite restorative with pre-polymerized resin fillers.

SOLARE is designed to mimic refractile and reflective properties of the surrounding tooth structure allowing a simple single shade layer technique to provide a chameleon effect and invisible esthetics.

SOLARE incorporates colours of surrounding areas giving it the ability to match a wide range of shades, using one single shade of the composite.

A smooth polished surface can easily be obtained because SOLARE contains organic and inorganic fillers of small grain size of less than 2μm. This imparts a tooth-like surface and smoothness that will discourage plaque retention.

In addition to the popular A2, A3 & A3.5 shades, a universal A3 opaque shade is available which is suitable for Class III cavities extending from the labial to lingual side and for masking discoloured teeth.

The optimal translucency of SOLARE enables the shade of tooth structure to diffuse and reflect through the composite and appear on its surface, resulting in the reproduction of natural tooth colour. Furthermore, changes in colour and translucency of composite before and after light polymerization are minimized by the optimized combination of resin component and fillers allowing for easier shade selection.

Restorations placed in posterior teeth should be able to exhibit excellent physical properties to withstand occlusal forces. However, the physical properties should be balanced in such a way that the restoration will not damage natural opposing teeth.

SOLARE P is a visible light-cured (MFR) micro-fine hybrid resin composite restorative with a balanced composition of silica, fluoro-aluminosilicate glass and pre-polymerized resin fillers.

Fluoro-aluminosilicate glass fillers was chosen as a filler to provide radiopacity. It also imparts sufficient fracture toughness as well as excellent wear resistance without damaging natural opposing teeth. The high filler loading makes SOLARE P easy tohandle, place and sculpt.

SOLARE P is one of the most flexible materials, giving it the ability to buffer masticatory forces in high stress-bearing areas.

SOLARE P has a balanced anti-abrasion characteristic giving it excellent wear resistance but causes less wear to opposing teeth.

There is little risk of fracture because SOLARE P exhibits high tenacity to withstand occlusal pressure and greater ability to resist propagation of cracks.

Standard ShadesFor anterior or posterior cavities, choose the Standard Shade in the same way as for the single-shade technique.

A Simple Multi-Shade System

Inside Special ShadesFor an anterior cavity, choose the Inside Special shade to go underneath the Standard Shade.

Inside Special shades have a higher opacity (i.e. lower translucency) than standard shades and are used to:

• block out unwanted ‘dark shine’ through the mouth or to mask discoloured dentin

• replace dentin in cases of substantial loss of tooth structure, such as in larger cavity Class III and Class IV restorations

Outside Special ShadesOutside Special Shades vary in their translucency and value (black/white levels) so enabling you to reproduce the influence of enamel on esthetics.

They are used to:

• give more ‘life’ to the appearance of the final restoration

• to match changes in enamel over time in order to suit different age groups

* Solare Standard Shade A1, B2 and CV are also available

Outside Special Shades (Available in Gradia Direct)

• NT (Natural Translucent) - Incisal edge of adult patients

• DT (Dark Translucent) - Enamel of adult patients

• CT (Clear Translucent) - Incisal edge of senior patients

• GT (Grey Translucent) - Enamel of senior patients

• WT (White Translucent) - Enamel of younger patients
