Why Should You Custom Airbrush Tan?

Why join the many celebrities, actors, singers and models that choose Custom Airbrush Tanning? There’s a great reason: Trained and certified custom airbrush tanning experts with advanced equipment and the right products can quickly give you a perfect look. Totally custom to you, so it’s even more ‘perfect’ than a ‘natural tan’ from the sun. No tan lines, no worries about over-exposure. And these treatments even include vitamins and antioxidants for your skin, so while you are looking gorgeous, your skin is being nourished, pampered and rejuvenated.

The active ingredient in our tanning solution is DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) or more commonly known as Glycerone. DHA is basically a simple carbohydrate derived from plants such as sugar cane or sugar beets. What a big scary name for a pretty simple harmless ingredient. In the 1970s the FDA approved and added DHA to their list of cosmetic ingredients. Going a little further DHA based Sunless Tanning is recommended by the Canadian Dermatology Association, American Medical Association, American Academy of Dermatology Association, and the Skin Cancer Foundation, so the FDA must have been right on approving this one.

Benefits of Sexy Airbrush Tans • Custom-Blended Personalized Spray Tans last 7-

10 days, far longer than any other sunless tan method.

• Each session is an individualized tanning service, not one-size-fits-all like automated tanning booths.

• 15 minutes is all it takes to get a gorgeous tan, so you are never caught off guard without looking your best.

• Important and highly photographed events in your life like weddings, anniversaries, and proms will be memorized with you looking your best.

• Custom-Blended Personalized Spray Tanning can include special effects like contouring and shading along your muscles and natural curves to further enhance your appearance.

• Because an expert personalizes and performs the spray tan, you don’t have to worry about uneven color or streaking.

• You can use an anti-aging combination to keep your skin young and healthy.

• Airbrush tans are 100% UV Free and safe for all skin types.

Prep to Perfection You want a smooth, clean canvas for your spray-tanning masterpiece, so remove all unwanted hair (shave, wax, thread—do whatever it takes!) and then exfoliate with an oil-free body scrub. And don’t lotion up! The creamy stuff can actually act as a barrier to the spray, preventing your color from developing fully.

Shaving, Waxing & Bleaching

• Dull razors shave off more of your skin and "tan"- Use a sharp clean razor and an oil-free moisturizing lubricant when shaving

• Waxing or depilatory hair removal products - Nair, Veet, Neet, or any body hair waxing product

• Body hair bleaching products

These products may or may not affect everyone equally. This is just a guideline of things to consider to prevent a sunless tan from fading prematurely. Topical Skin Products & other Medications

• Anti-Acne & Anti-Aging products can exfoliate and dry the skin, causing it to fade

-BHA products-Beta Hyrdoxy acids - salicylic acid -AHA products-Alpha Hydroxy acids- glycolic, lactic, malic, citric, and tartaric acids -Tretinoin products -Retin-A, Renova, Avita, Altinac

• Antibiotics and other medications that may affect your skin may also affect your tan

Beauty and Soap Products

• Bar soaps with high pH levels, especially deodorant and antibacterial soaps

• Dove brand soap and body wash shower products

• Loofah, scrub brush, exfoliating gloves, or rough body cleansers when bathing or showering - instead use a soft wash cloth, puffy sponge, or hands to gently cleanse skin

• Mineral Oil or products containing Mineral Oil

• Makeup remover and eye makeup remover oils

• Facial masks and exfoliating scrubs

• Biore-type adhesive facial strips and peel away masks

• Toners containing high amounts of alcohol or witch hazel - do not use if they are listed in the top 3 ingedients

• Curel brand lotions

• Moisturizing Bath Cleansers, such as Olay Quench In-Shower Body Lotion

• Hair inhibiting lotions, such as Jergens Shave Minimizing lotion

• Perfumes, body sprays, and bug sprays when sprayed directly on skin. Spray on clothes or into air and walk into the "cloud" of spray

SPRAY TAN KILLERS

Other Tan Killers…

Before & After Your Session Always schedule your manicures, pedicures, waxing and hair appointments 24-48 hours prior to your airbrush session. Take time to thoroughly prepare your skin before your appointment by exfoliating, shaving and removal of any makeup, deodorant and perfumes. This will ensure that your tan will be long-lasting and evenly applied. Avoid using shower gels & bath creams that leave a film on the skin as they can interfere with the solution adhering to your skin properly.

Wear dark, loose clothing after your session. Cotton is recommended. Solution is water soluble and will wash out of most fabrics with the exception of nylon, lycra, leather and silk. If rain is in the forecast, be prepared with an umbrella when going outside after your session. Make sure you moisturize your skin daily with the recommended lotion. This will maintain and extend the life of your gorgeous tan! Your lotion should not contain any mineral oil or petroleum products. Let your tan set for at least 7-8 hours (overnight if possible) before showering or taking a bath. This allows your tan to develop properly. Avoid wearing socks or shoes after your tanning session in order to allow the tan to develop properly on your feet. Avoid wearing tight clothing for at least 5 hours. This includes tighter-fitting jeans, bras, spandex, tight blouses and shoes/socks. All swimming, showering and vigorous exercise must be avoided for at least 5 hours as sweating can inhibit the development of your tan. Do not shave for 12 hours after your treatment. Beware of wearing long boots after tanning as these can make your tan patchy on your legs.

• Dry skin causes the tan to fade faster - healthy moisturized skin tans best and lasts longer - moisturize twice daily and after showering with a heavy moisturizing cream, like Infinite Glow's After Glow Daily Moisturizer

• Oily skin causes the tan to appear lighter - the oils can coat the skin preventing proper absorption of the DHA

• Swimming pools, hot tubs, and long hot baths or showers can fade your tan

• Hormonal changes, such as ovulation, menstruation, and pregnancy may affect the development of the tan. It may appear streaky, patchy, fade unevenly, or produce little or no color

• Eating sardines the night before your spray tan can affect the pH balance of your skin, which can affect your skin’s ability to absorb the tanning solution.

• Band-Aids or adhesive tape applied to skin may "pull off" the color of your tan

• Excessive sweating from exercising may cause your tan to fade faster, particularly in body fold areas -arm bends, knee bends, cleavage, etc.
