ALL RUBBISH REMOVED
At SG Doors we specialise in the fitting of bespoke double skinned, insulated, remote control, electric roller garage doors that can be supplied to your specifications, including a range of different colours. We also fit composite front doors.
Roller Garage Doors are efficient space savers; rather than swinging the door to the side or outwards in front of the garage, the roller system means the doors roll directly up into a to roll system mounted above the door frame.
GAIN EXTRA GARAGE SPACE
The space saving allows you to park close to the garage door with no risk and also saves space inside the garage. It also removes the danger of outward swinging garage doors striking unseen persons or objects outside.
SAFER THAN CONVENTIONAL GARAGE DOORS
Essentially a Roller Garage Door is an insulated double skin aluminium curtain protecting your garage. With the double side brush in the guide runners and a curtain that rolls right to the floor, it excludes draughts and is effcient andconvenient at both restricting and allowing access to the garage.

VOLUNTEERS are being recruitedacross South Warwickshire to help theNHS cope with the coronavirus situation.
Following the first death (on Saturday)of any patient at Warwick Hospital whohas tested positive for coronavirus(Covid-19) – and the number of con-firmed cases in the county up to 29 yes-terday (Monday) – South WarwickshireNHS Foundation Trust put out a call forpeople to “become a SWFT superhero”.
The call came as a response to peopleoffering their services to help, and thetrust has set up a special page on its web-site to invite people to volunteer.
Warwick Hospital announced the deathon Sunday of a man who had tested posi-tive for coronavirus. The trust’s director ofnursing, Fiona Burton, said: “Sadly wecan confirm that a man who was beingcared for at Warwick Hospital, and hadtested positive for Covid-19, has died.
“The patient, who died on March 21,was in his 80s and had underlying healthconditions. His family has been informedand our thoughts and condolences arewith them at this difficult time.”
The trust is now looking for people tostep in to a number of roles, including:
Ward helper – spending time withpatients, helping them to make calls, sup-porting staff with admin requests andmaking drinks; General helper – fielding queries,
restocking gel dispensers and supportingthe patient advice and liaison team; Help desk volunteer – manning
reception and advising visitors; and Home telephone befriender – chat-
ting to patients regularly by phone fromyour own home.
Shifts in hospitals are four hours longand volunteers are needed at StratfordHospital and Ellen Badger Hospital inShipston, as well as at Warwick, where acoronavirus pod has been set up.
If you can help with any of the roles, visit the website at www.swft.nhs.uk/join-us/volunteer.

The coronavirus pod at Warwick Hospital.
THE British have a fondness forlooking back to the Second WorldWar for historical analogies. Thespirit of Churchill is invoked in anycrisis, and the bulldog determina-tion of the nation is held up as abeacon to the world.
And while we would not deny anyof the positives that this kind ofthinking can provide, we want tooffer another wartime messagethat seems all too relevant at thisextraordinary time: “Careless talkcosts lives.”
During the war, this powerfulsocial message was partlyintended to stop any potentialsecrets reaching the ears of enemysympathisers, who could then sab-otage the war effort by feeding itback to the enemy.
But there was another angle tothe slogan which carries just asmuch weight when your enemy is ahidden, microscopic virus that isforcing much of the world intolockdown. That notion was the ideathat misinformation can be highlydangerous.
Fake news has been around a lotlonger than President Trump mightimagine. Propaganda has been anextremely effective weapon in con-flicts since battles began, althoughin the modern era, technologyallows information to travel somuch faster that it is not only muchmore widespread, but also muchmore difficult to manage.
While we don’t suggest for amoment that people are deliber-ately disseminating false informa-tion and factual inaccuracies, thetruth is that the rumour mill is in
full swing – particularly on socialmedia, but also from sources whoshould know better. Some nationalnewspapers have a reputation fortheir minimal acquaintance withfacts, while others have a partypolitical agenda that frequently
skews the impartiality of theirreporting.
Local newspapers are different. We are part of our community – theheart of our community, as oursister paper the Stratford Herald’stagline puts it – and we live and
work among the people we writeabout and for.
That’s why the Herald and theMidweek will never publish a storyunless we have verified it from reli-able sources. We won’t spreadunfounded rumours and we won’tuse speculation as clickbait for oursocial media channels or website.
At this difficult time, the impor-tance of having access to atrusted, reliable source of verifiednews could not be greater. Take aquick look at your Twitter timelineor news feed and ask yourself: Arethese sources reliable, or are theysimply spreading what amounts tolittle more than gossip or rumour?
The Herald and its stable of plat-forms – including Midweek, ourwebsite www.stratford-herald.com,Facebook page @StratfordHeraldand Twitter feed @HeraldNews –are trustworthy sources of infor-mation, not only for coronavirusbut for all your news, sport andarts requirements across the Strat-ford district.
We don’t deal in rumours. If wearen’t the first to bring you a partic-ular story, it’s because we haven’tfully verified yet. But when weknow, you’ll know.
The Herald is published everyThursday, and as well as beingavailable in shops, you can orderdelivery direct to your home oreven download a digital copy viathe website.
There’s a reason we’ve been herefor 160 years. We’re the newspa-pers you can trust.

A VILLAGE in the Stratford districtis celebrating after being named oneof the top places to live in the Mid-lands.
Ilmington won second placeamong the best places to live in anannual list in the Sunday Times.
With house prices averaging£299,950 and rental standing at £750a month, plus glorious Cotswoldsarchitecture and rolling hills andcountryside, Ilmington is right upthere behind the overall regionalwinner Uppingham, in Rutland.
Cllr Edward Fitter, whose Quintonward on Stratford District Councilincludes the village, said: “I’m
delighted that Ilmington is one of thetop ten best places to live in the Mid-lands and it is well deserved.
“The spirit in Ilmington is reallyspecial, with its community shop andcafé, fantastic sport facilities and ofcourse its Morris dancing. I’d alsolike to thank residents for takinggreat care of each other during thisdifficult time.
“The village itself is beautiful. Sit-uated in the Cotswolds, it is a lovelyplace with plenty of character. I’mvery proud to represent Ilmington.”
The judges in the Sunday Timesinitiative assess a wide range of fac-tors, from schools, transport andbroadband speed to culture, greenspaces and the health of the highstreet.
Uppingham is top of a list of tenlocations in the region – and 101across the UK – chosen to representthe best of Britain.
The overall winner, announced onSunday, was Altrincham in GreaterManchester. Don’t miss the special fea-

VOLKSWAGEN Commercial Vehicles(VWCV) has presented for the first time anall-electric vehicle that produces zero emis-sions on the road.
Equipped with the drive system compo-nents of the latest Volkswagen electricvehicles, the concept vehicle is based on aT1 Samba Bus produced in 1966 and com-prehensively restored.
The stage for the world premiere of thee-BULLI was to have been Techno Clas-sica 2020, but as the event has been post-poned, VWCV has presented it virtually.
It started with the seemingly audaciousidea of switching an historic BULLI overto a drive system producing zero emissionson the road in order to bring it in line withthe challenges of a new era.
VWCV engineers and designers formeda team along with drive system expertsfrom Volkswagen Group Components andthe eClassics company, which specialisesin electric car conversions.
As the basis for the future e-BULLI theteam chose a T1 Samba Bus produced inHannover in 1966, which prior to its con-version spent half a century on the roads ofCalifornia.
One thing was certain from the start, thee-BULLI was to be a T1 that utilises theVolkswagen Group’s latest electric drivesystem components.
This plan has now been realised with thee-BULLI.
The combination of high-end classic andhigh-tech electric vehicle will be availableto buy for real.
VWCV partner eClassics is planning tooffer T1 conversions and T1 completevehicles in the style of the new e-BULLI.
The Volkswagen Group are offering theT1 conversion, complete with redesignedfront and rear axles, at prices starting from64,900 euros.
Visit www.e-classics.eu for more infor-mation about the e-BULLI.
UPGRADE: The e-BULLIhas been fitted with thelatest VW technology.
