How to read this schedule...

Students must register and pay for each course before theyattend the first class meeting. Students may register onlineor in person at one of our four campus locations. Tuition isthe same for Florida residents and non-Florida residents.There is no admissions fee.

To register on the Web for continuing education courses:

1. Go to www.pbcc.edu/cce.xml

2. Click on the Register for a Class link.

If you are a current or previous continuing educationstudent and know your student ID and PIN/password click,go to PantherWeb.

If you know your student ID but can't remember yourPIN/password, click on PIN/Password Reset for directions.

OR

If you have never attended or applied to PBCC before, youneed to complete an application. Click on the Apply Onlinelink. When you complete and submit the application, youwill be directed to PantherWeb.

3. Log on to PantherWeb and click on Registration.

4. Third Party PaymentsStudents must supply written confirmation from thirdparty payor before registering for class.

Textbooks are available online or at the bookstore. Please note: The campus bookstores are closed on Saturdays.

1. Can I register at one campus for classes on anothercampus?Yes. You can register for any PBCC class at any PBCC campuslocation. You can also register online at www.pbcc.edu/cce.xml

2. My class was cancelled. How do I get my refund? Refunds are mailed automatically unless you register for a classin its place. Refunds will either be issued back to the credit/debit card that was used or mailed to you in the form of acheck.

REFUND POLICY: Students who wish to drop a class must do sobefore the start date in order to receive a 100 percent refund.To drop a class, go to www.pbcc.edu/cce.xml or go in personto any campus registrar’s office.

3. When will I get my refund? Refunds are typically issued within 3-4 weeks after theadd/drop period as stated in the College catalog.

4. What is the difference between college credit andnoncredit classes?Credit classes count toward graduation in certain programs ofstudy. Noncredit classes are primarily for job advancement,enhancement or training.

5. How do I get a parking decal?To obtain a parking decal, all students taking noncredit classeswill need to present a paid receipt or schedule showing thatclasses have been paid for. Students will receive one decal thatwill be good for the current academic year. There will be a $5fee for replacement decals or additional decals for secondvehicles.

Parking decals can be obtained from the Security Office at theLake Worth and Palm Beach Gardens locations, or from theCashier’s Office at the Boca Raton and Belle Glade locations.

Cars that have a PBCC parking decal MAY NOT park in VISITORor RESERVED parking spaces or they will receive a ticket.

Registration requirements for first time enrolled ESOL studentsThese classes are for non-native speakers who need to improve their English language skills for General,Business, or Special Purposes – not for an academic degree. First-time enrolled ESOL students must take theCOMPASS test at any one of the Testing Centers on the four campuses.

Step 1 - Complete a Continuing Education(Non-Credit) Application • Complete the application online or at the

Admissions/Registration Office. The link for onlineapplication is www.pbcc.edu/cce.xml at thebottom of the page. (Select “Apply online”).

• Make a note of your Student I.D. Number andpassword (PIN) when you apply - you will need itto complete your registration process after takingthe COMPASS test.

Step 2 – Pay for the COMPASS Test• Request a COMPASS Test Referral Form at the

campus Admissions/Registration Office. TheCOMPASS test evaluates your current languagelevel and is a self-paced, computer-based test thattakes 11/2 - 3 hours.

• Take the Test Referral Form and pay $15 for theCOMPASS test at the Cashier’s Office. An officialform of photo identification is required.

• The Cashier will give you a receipt to take to theTesting Center to authorize your test.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider(ACLS)EMO 0031 $64.00This course addresses cardiovascular monitoring, phar-macology, electrical therapy and advanced airway tech-niques used in acute/post MI patients. ECG recognitionis an essential element of the ACLS course, and partici-pants will be responsible for the identification andinterpretation of ECG rhythms.
