Misty and her husband began their amazing soap journey about 3 years ago in a magical land far, far away….but really, it began inIndianapolis, Indiana (I know, not nearly as exciting.) But seriously, what they DID find excit-ing was that they could create unique soaps fromscratch that had fun swirls and yummy scents with-out using ANY synthetic colors or fragrance, or anybad ingredients at all!

Their quest to find more natural productsbegan when they learned our bodies absorb sixty percent of everything we put on our skin. Sixty percent, that’s a lot of chemicals! Like most people, they didn’t want any yucky junk entering our bloodstreams…except for the occasional margarita, butthat’s different (or so she likes to pretend!) Theyslowly started converting their chemical laden bathproducts and cosmetics to more natural alternativeswhen she discovered there are many companies thatclaim to be “natural” yet their products are actuallyfilled with synthetic fragrance, oils, and colorants.Crazy, right?! That’s when they decided to combineher love of chemistry with her husband’s artisticflair, and voila, Urban Utopia Soap Shop was born!

From botanical colorants, to essential oils,to plantable soap labels; They work hard to ensureevery aspect of their product is 100% junk free.Look for them in booth 34 at the Springtime inIndiana...art, craft and gift marketplace.

Growing up witha creative mother, craftshave always been a partof Heather Smith’s lifein one aspect or another. While working on herMaster’s Degree, she

needed a way to de-stress and crafting was theanswer. Beginning with little things for herself ordecorations for her own home, she eventually beganmaking gifts for friends and family. That led to ordersfrom them--their favorite sayings or seeing her work. With muchencouragement from herhusband and friends shestarted a website and beganattending craft shows. Bothhave proven to be very successful. Visit withHeather in Booth 40 foryour answer to Spring decorating and statementgifts for Mother’s andFather’s Day, graduationsand weddings!

Tia Morrall and her daughter have been creating and crafting ever since her daughter was ableto color with crayons. Two years ago for Christmas,Tia gave her a real jewelry making kit and they bothloved it. They started making jewelry and got lots ofcompliments with what they made. They began givingthem as gifts and some of the recipients said theyshould start selling the jewelry because they wantedto give them as gifts as well. Tia started her businessPearl of the Ornament on Etsy but it didn't do too wellat first then she found her niche with chunky children's sports and character jewelry. This workedout great for her because she loved dressing up herdaughter when she was little! Now that she’s 11 yearsold she loves to help others dress up their little girlswith her fun and unique jewelry. In her first craftshow, women were buying her jewelry for theirdaughters as well as for themselves so she begandesigning women's jewelry as well. Salsa Me Krazy was born out of afamily recipe passed down from Brenda Gay’smom Rita. Her mom had a passion for cookingand gardening. Because of Brenda’s momBrenda says she’s now a "bonafide foodie".Her love for food, the way it smells, tastes andeven the textures pushes her to make the bestpossible salsa she can. To ensure the same highquality in each batch it is only made in smallbatches. It is made using all natural ingredi-ents, no preservatives, and is low in sodium. The flavor she says is slightly sweet andsavory, and it has a genuine taste of homemadegoodness.
