Purpose

To enhance your searching skills with library resources for the purpose of increasing your success with finding scholarly sources to support your patient case.

Tasks

▪ Students will be able to locate disease state information in order to support the medical nutrition therapy presented in their patient case.

▪ Students will be able to use Quick Search to locate scholarly articles to support the medical nutrition therapy intervention presented in their patient case.

Criteria

▪You will know you’re successful when: ▪ You’re able to locate a disease state

and nutritional information in UpToDate ▪ You can identify the type of evidenced

based literature that will support your patient case using Quick Search or other Biomedical databases along with specialized vocabulary to locate evidence.
