After a major disruption that affects work and life, getting back to the office requires an intentional strategy to assure employees feel they are safe and can remain healthy in their environment.

Successful transitions take a holistic approach, addressing health and well-being from a physical, mental, social and emotional perspective. Here are some tips to ease your employees back to the workplace Post-COVID-19 and give them confidence in their work environment.

1. Develop people-focused policies and proceduresEstablish flexible work strategies such as:‣ Remote work options‣ Alternate shifts of A/B team schedules‣ Phase employees’ return to work in stages

We were so excited to be apart of the this incredible project & were fortunate enough to work with a great team of people at UGA that shared their vision of what they wanted in this newly constructed building where they would be occupying two floors. Using warm grey and wood tones with black accents created a professional and welcoming environment to both clients and employees. With Falkbuilt prefab interior construction, the walls are working for them. First thing you see in the lobby is a beautiful view of Kansas City through a graphic glass and an embedded TV. The offices have embedded TV’s, large writable glass surfaces with a luxury Falkskin finish on the walls throughout the space. The conference rooms have large writable surfaces with millwork to use for storage and use of the counters. Both floors have beautiful kitchens for the employees to take a break and collaborate. This was a great experience being a part of bringing their vision to reality.

The pandemic is not only making us wash our hands more often and walk 6 feet apart, it’s also changing the rules on construction sites. The days when 20 trades would load onto the same freight elevator to get to the jobsite are done. These days, and for the foreseeable future, everyone goes up two-by-two.
