You, like the rest of us, have been subjected to various restrictive & transformative conditions, and policies and procedures and rules and regulations mandated by the government, our company, society, and ourselves… Covid related, of course. I have to say, I have not spoken with one person yet who was enthusiastic about the possibility of catching Covid. More and more, it is hard to find someone who has not had an up-close Covid experience with friends, family, coworkers, or personally. My Covid symptoms hit me on January 3 at the dinner table. My wife’s started on January 5. Luckily, we only had mild “seemingly never ending” flu- like symptoms for 10 days. We stayed isolated for 14 days. In 2020, our company shipped out toilet paper to boost morale… never thought I would see that! At our apartments, office entries are controlled, temperatures are taken, masks are worn, inspections are cancelled, and community room activities are nonexistent. When do you think you will feel comfortable again sitting among hundreds or thousands at a ballgame or concert or even a movie theatre? When will you be allowed to do so? Without a doubt, most of us miss the old “normal” way of life that we took for granted. Watching our kids go off to school, shopping without a mask, pumping gas without using hand sanitizer, eating out…. Remember those days? Socialization, communication, fellowshipping, gathering and celebrating together… we miss it all. Life is not the same. But, life is not supposed to be the same. It will not be the same, no matter how hard you try to control it. “Change” is the one constant you can always count on. To a great extent, our success and happiness in life will depend on how well we adapt to change, how well we proactively deal with changes and challenges in our world and lives. If we sit around and complain, and just wait to react to the next rain cloud that comes our way, we will have a long unpleasant path ahead in life. Every stage of life is there to be enjoyed. Its our responsibility to make it so. So, lets continue to gird up and adjust and face our changing world head on. Fortunately, our fantastic Partnership team has been doing just that!!
