Spring Term 2014
Weekend Activities
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce the programme of weekend activities planned for the Spring Term. This will give you an opportunity to discuss the activities with your daughter and decide which of them she would like to participate in.
Students in Upper Three to Upper Four (Years 7-9) are expected to participate in one activity each weekend they are in school. Students in Lower Five and above (Years 10-13) are encouraged to participate regularly in activities.
Some of the activities form part of our UK cultural programme. New international students are expected to participate in one of these cultural trips each term. This is indicated on the Weekend Activities online sign up form.
A few of the activities in the programme have a cost element and need to be booked in advance. As a matter of course we advise you of any activity that will cost £20 and over. These require your approval beforehand and confirms that you accept the cost being added to your school account. Once your approval has been given, your daughter is committed to that activity and you will normally be expected to pay the cost if she subsequently withdraws.

Every student belongs to a ‘House’. Now is the time for some serious and fun sport!
Whether playing for your House team or cheering on your buddies - this is a day for every student in the school to be involved.

Spend 90 minutes on this fantastic olympic sized ice rink followed by an hour and a half in the Spectrum leisure pool; with flumes, a tyre ride, bubble beds, sprays and a wave machine you won’t run out of things to do. you can also race your friends on the Surf, the 3 lane slide.
This is all followed by some relaxation time shopping in the Friary Centre, Guildford.

Pottery Painting
Indulge in creativity for a couple of hours at the Painting Pottery Café. Choose from a selection of mugs to decorate. Dream up a design and bring it to life on porcelain. your completed design will then be fired and delivered to school a few days later for you to keep.
Staff will be on hand to explain how to use the materials and give advice on colour and design, if required.
