We are pleased to invite you for the Continuing NursingEducation on Comprehensive Nursing Management in Strokeat Diamond Jubilee Auditorium, Medical College,Thiruvananthapuram-ll, on 24th October 2015 organised by theNursing Service Division, under the direction and support of theDivision of Comprehensive Stroke Care Programme, SCTIMST.

This Continuing Nursing Education aims at discussingvarious aspects in the care of stroke patients, from acute care todischarge planning and home care.Target audience include staffnurses, nursing students (Post graduates specialising in neuronursing and Diploma in neuro nursing) and nurse educators.

Objectives:

The participants will be able to-

1. Identify the basic concepts in nursing management of patientswith stroke

2. To introduce the concept of Comprehensive Stroke Care Unit.

3. Incorporate the current critical care guidelines ofcomprehensive stroke care in reducing the door-to-needletime.

4. Refine critical thinking skills and clinical judgment inidentifying the case for interventions, nursing care,rehabilitation and risk care management.

5. To appraise the significance of multidisciplinary teamapproach in stroke rehabilitation.
