The Oak Leaf is the award-winning student newspaper of Santa Rosa Junior College. Established in 1928, the Oak Leaf provides the most comprehensive coverage of campus news, events, sports and entertainment to the SRJC community.

Published up to seven times a semester, the Oak Leaf is distributed throughout the college campus and community on a bi-monthly basis. Additionally, the newspaper has an active digital presence, providing breaking news via its website and social media sites.

Developing a relationship with the Oak Leaf is the best way to consistently reach the SRJC community and its more than 40,000 students, faculty, staff and alumni.

Distribution The Oak Leaf has a circulation of 3,500, with copies distributed to five different kiosks on the Santa Rosa and Petaluma campuses. Copies are also delivered throughout sever-al campus buildings and to the surrounding community, including businesses on Santa Rosa/Mendocino Avenue and downtown Santa Rosa.

The Oak Leaf ’s distribution team also fo-cuses on putting paper directly in students’ hands to increase awareness of and involve-ment with the newspaper. The team of 12 staff members passes out copies of the paper daily at high-traffic areas on the SRJC cam-puses. Copies are also personally hand-de-livered by the Editors-in-Chief to faculty offices and every campus administrator.

Founded in 1918, SRJC is the 10th oldest of California’s 109 publicly funded two-year colleges. It has become one of the largest sin-gle college districts in the United States. The District encompasses more than 1,600 square miles. It operates two campuses in Sonoma County: a 100+ acre campus in Santa Rosa and a 40-acre campus in Petaluma. SRJC also op-erates a regional Public Safety Training Center in Windsor, Shone Farm near Forestville, a Culinary Arts Center in downtown Santa Rosa, and a Technology Academy on the Petaluma Campus.

Billing & TearsheetsPaymentsThe Oak Leaf only accepts cash and check pay-ments. An invoice will be provided with each seperate issue.

TearsheetsAll advertisers will be mailed two tearsheets of the entire page their ad appeared on, as well as two entire copies of the paper attached with an invoice for every issue.

CancellationsCancellations require a seven-day notice for a full refund. A four-day cancellation notice incurs a half price refund. Any cancellations after the four-day deadline will result in full charges for production and labor incurred.
