In cooperation with 12 partners from seven countries, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia has been implementing the Project “Network of Young Innovators in the Agro-food Sector (NO-BLE Ideas Network)” which is financed by the EU funds, based on the 4th Call of the IPA Programme for South-East Europe.

The project objective is to contribute to the development of agricultural and food sector through innovations.

The Office for the support to young researchers and innovators in Serbia was opened in 2013 and it is hosted by CCIS. The Office provides free of charge services in the area of innovation management, financing innovations and intellectual property, with the aim to prepare innovation projects for implementation in the economy on the domestic and international level, using the technological platforms from the website:

Virtual Market is one of services, that has the role to promote many unique ideas from several fields, which are got into a public, international database and into the network.

Privredna komora Srbije u saradnji sa 12 partnera iz sedam zemalja realizuje projekat Network of Young Innovators in the Agro-food Sector (NO-BLE Ideas Network) koji se se finansira iz fondova EU po 4. pozivu IPA programa Jugoistočna Evropa.

Cilj projekta je da se inovacijama u poljoprivredno-prehrambenom sektoru doprinese unapređenju razvoja te privredne grane.

Kancelarija za podršku mladim istraživačima-inovatorima u Srbiji otvorena je 2013. godine sa sedištem u PKS. Kancelarija pruža besplatne usluge iz oblasti menadžmenta inovacija, finansiranja inovacija i intelektualne svojine u cilju pripreme inovacionih projekata za implementaciju u privredi na domaćem i međunarodnom nivou, a kroz korišćenje tehnološke platforme na adresi:

Program sadrži sveobuhvatnu bazu podataka pesticida koju je moguće pretraživati po svim parametrima, izuzetno veliku bazu fotografija i ilustracija zaštićenih autorskim pravima, kao i podršku sistemu za prognozu i praćenje mogućnosti po-jave štetočina i bolesti.

EAN is an Internet-based software composed of a set of appli-cations, which covers the whole field of plant protection and is implemented via the web portal peseticidi.rs. The complete pro-gram includes a database of pesticides that can be searched by all parameters, a very large database of photos and illustrations protected by copyright, as well as a support system for forecasting and monitoring the risk of pests and diseases.

BIOFErMENTISaNI SOK CVEKlEBiofermented beetroot juice

Sok od cvekle je proizveden mlečno kiselinskom fermentacijom. Bio fermentacija se odvija po principu dominantne mikroflore. Kada se iscedi svež sok od cvekle (u ovom slučaju on je supstat), njemu doda-jemo mlečno kiselinsku kulturu (miks određenih sojeva). Ta čista kul-tura preuzima primat u odnosu na mikrofloru isceđene cvekle. Ova dominantna mikroflora određuje dalji tok fermentacije koji se prati i kontroliše temperaturom u fermentoru. Bakterije u toku procesa fermentacije proizvode korisne proizvode kao što su mlečne kise-line, različiti minerali i vitaminski kompleksi, a jedan od značajnih kompleksa je i kompleks vitamina B. Ovim procesom smo uspeli da odstranimo otužnost koju cvekla poseduje. Prednost ovog procesa se ogleda i u tome što su antocijani sačuvani zajedno sa vitaminima i mineralima i da oni deluju antikancerogeno.

The beetroot juice is obtained by lactic acid fermentation. Fermentation works by the principle of the dominant micro flora. When we get a fresh juice from beetroot (in this case the substrate), on it we add the lactic acid culture (a mixture of multiple strains). That, pure culture which act as the dominant micro flora in relation to the micro flora that had caught when the beetroot was squeezed. This dominant micro flora determines the direction of the fermentation which we stimulate with temperature in the fermentor. Bacteria during the fermentation of their work is creating useful products such as lactic acid, various minerals and vitamin complex, and one of the most important is complex vitamin B. This process helps to avoid pungency which beetroot consists. The advantage of this manufacturing process is that the anthocyanins were preserved along with vitamins and minerals and that they act anti-cancer.

Alat je pogodan za bušenje bunara u oblas-tima gde ne postoji izvor energije. Sastoji se od nekoliko komponenti koje se lako transportuju do mesta bušenja bunara. Sa ovim alatom 2 radnika mogu izbušiti bunar do dubine od 20 metara za 2 sata. Po završetku bušenja vrši se ispiranje i pražnjenje jalovine i otpada u posebnom bazenu, ubacivanje cevi i onda se bunar može koristiti za navodnjavanje.

The drilling tool is suitable for use in the fields where there is no source of energy. It consists of several components that are not bulky and can be easily transported to the site where the drilling of wells. 2 workers can drill a well depth of 20 meters for 2 hours. Upon completion of the drilling it is done rinse well and discharge of tailings and waste from the hole in a special pool. At the end we need to insert tubes and then we can use well for irrigation.

Mobilni robotizovani solarni elektrogenrator je savremeni daljinski komandovan automatizovani uređaj za proizvodnju električne energije korišćenjem nepresušne sunčeve svetlosne energije koji se ne priključuje na elektro-mrežu. U osnovi, to je dvo-osni robotski mehanizam koji automatski zakreće tri svetlosno-osetljiva foto-naponska panela u pravcu trenutnog položaja Sunca. Uređaj se postavlja na standardnu auto-priko-licu koja mu omogućava laku pokretljivost i brzu promenu lo-kacije. Pokretni solarni generator je alternativno ili dopunsko, a u nekim situacijama i osnovno, sredstvo snabdevanja ener-gijom u uslovima nepostojanja elektro-mreže. Idealan je za navodnjavanje u poljoprivredi.

Mobile robotized solar generator is a modern, off-grid, remotely con-trolled, automated device developed for production of electricity by use of inexhaustible solar photo-energy. Basically, it is a 2-axis robotic mechanism that automatically rotated three sensitive photo-voltaic panels in direction towards the current Sun position. Device is mounted to a standard car-trailer that enables easy mobility and changing lo-cation. Mobile solar electro-generator is alternative or auxiliary and sometimes basic meaning for energy supply in conditions when there is no electric infrastructure. This device is an ideal solution for agricul-ture, as a device for intensive irrigation.

Spelta je stara kultura, koja je vraća svoju popularnost zbog sve veće pozornosti usmerene na organsku hranu. Ova kul-tura ima čvrstu ljusku, koja se mora ukloniti tokom obrade i iskorišćenja za hranu. Postotak otpada tj. ljuske može narasti i do 30%. Poljoprivredni otpad, kao što su ljuske spelte može da se valorizira u obliku obnovljivog izvora energije. S druge strane, zbog sadržaja hranjivih tvari može i da se koristiti za ishranu životinja. Kako bi se postigla bolja pretvorba biomase u energiu, kao i poboljšala nutritivna svojstva, potrebno je provesti tretman sirovine. Peletiranje je jedan od postupaka koji se mogu pri-meniti.

Spelt wheat is an old crop, which is regaining its popularity with aris-en interest for organic food. This crop is characterized by its hard hull, which must be removed in spelt processing and utilization for food. The percentage of waste in form of hull can rise up to 30 %. Agricultural waste, such as spelt hull can be valorised as renewable energy source. On the other hand due to content of nutrients spelt hull can also be used also in animal nutrition. In order to achieve better conversion of biomass to energy and better nutritive properties, it is necessary to conduct a pre-treatment of the raw-material. Pelleting is one of the processes that can be applied.

Spelta je pogodna sirovina za proizvodnju testenine jer ima bolje nutritivne vrednosti od vulgare i durum pšenice. Spelta se smatra organskim proiz-vodom zbog načina gajenja, sadržaj fitinske kiseline je manji u odnosu na vulgare i durum pšenicu, te je iskorišćenje neophodnih minerala bolje.Integralna testnenina od spelte sa inulinom predstavlja nov organski proizvod izmenjenog nutritivnog sastava sa funkcionalnim osobinama. Integralnu testeninu od spelte sa 20% inulina karakteriše značajan pad svarljivih ugljenih hidrata za 43,2 % i smanjena energetska vrednost za 27,2%. Spelt pasta with 20% inulin is charac-terized by decreasing digestible carbohydrates of 43.2% and reducing energy of 27.2%. Spelta pasta with inulin is a food, that can be stored for a long time without deterioration of taste, smell and use value.

Pri-menom tradicionalnih i savremenih metoda detekcije patogena (biološki, serološki i molekularni test) i proverom pomoloških karakteristika ispitivanog materijala stvoren se osnovni sadni materijal većeg broja sorti šljive. Na ovaj način dobijen je zdravst-veno ispravan sadni materijal koji se čuva u odgovarajućim us-lovima i na raspolaganju je tržištu, koje je do sada bilo okrenuto uvozu materijala ove kategorije iz inostranstva.

Production of certified planting material of fruit trees is an essential factor in modern horticulture. Fruit Research Institute is the only insti-tution in Serbia, which has fully implemented all steps in the produc-tion of the higher categories of plant material. Planting material of a number of plum varieties was created by using traditional and modern methods of detection of pathogens (biological, serological and molecu-lar) and testing pomologic characteristics of the examined material. The healthy plant material produced in this manner is kept in appro-priate conditions and available to the market, which has so far been directed to the import of this material from abroad.

Odeljenje za fiziologiju voćaka Instituta za voćarstvo sa uspehom primenjuje in vitro tehnike krioprezervacije (inkapsulaci-ja-dehidracija, vitrifikacija, droplet-vitrifikacija) za dugotrajno čuvanje germplazme voćaka. Krioprezervacija predstavlja čuvanje ćelija, tkiva ili organa na ultra niskim temperaturama (tečni azot) u prisustvu zaštitnih agenasa – krioprotektana-ta. Krioprezervacija je komplementarni pristup konvencionalnim metodama čuvanja, značajno smanjuje rizike vezane za uspešno čuvanje germplazme voćaka u uslovima polja i predstavlja pravu garanciju u slučaju incidentnih gubitaka biljnog materijala. Optimizirane protokole krioprezervacije bi bilo moguće direktno implementirati u budući program uspostavl-janja in vitro banke gena voćaka u našoj zemlji.

Fruit Physiology Department of the Fruit Research Institute has successfully employed in vitro cryopreservation techniques (encapsu-lation-dehydration, vitrification and droplet-vitrification) for long-term conservation of fruit species. Cryopreservation is the freezing of cells, tissues or organs in liquid nitrogen at ultra-low temperatures in the presence of cryoprotectants. It is complementary to conven-tional methods for plant germplasm preservation, significantly reduces risks associated with management of the field gene banks and provides additional security in the case of accidental loss of plant material. Optimized protocols could be directly implemented in future programms intended to establish in vitro gene bank of fruit crops.

Određivanjem alelnih konstitucija gena uključenih u determinaciju značajnih osobina, započeta je molekularna karakter-izacija autohtonog materijala voćaka, koja ima za cilj ispitivanje genetičke raznovrsnosti, otkrivanje duplikata ili srodnih genotipova u kolekciji.

Genetic resources of fruit species i.e. apple, plum, sour cherry and walnut in the region of Serbia are rich and polymorphic in characters. The Fruit Research Institute is the only institution in Serbia which has started with the application of both comprehensive international descriptors and molecular methods in the evaluation of fruit germplasm. A uniform approach to evaluation represents a new quality in conservation and utilization of fruit germplasm on the national level. The first molecular research has been carried out by determining the al-lelic constitutions of genes involved in the pathway of certain important traits and it makes it possible to form an idea of the structure of the diversity and also to determine the duplicates or related genotypes.

Inovative growing media mixed of different components suitable for the or-ganic vegetable production. There is a lack of inputs suitable for certified organic vegetable production. Many producers mix their own growing media or buy it on the market. Industrial growing media are not in accordance with ecological principals. We use predominantly renewable materials mixed with peat moss and some mineral materials allowed in organic practice. Comparing with conventional growing media, our inovative growing media is better and cheaper option for certified organic vegetable production.

Plodovi ove sorte mogu biti korišćeni za preradu u domaćinstvima i industriji. Sorta je prvenstveno namenjena za gajenje u zaštićenom prostoru gde usled svog izraženog potencijala za dugo plodonošenje ostvaruje izvanredne rezultate.

This is a medium early variety, with low and branched tree, height is about 40cm, with the fruit type of elongated bell-pepper. Fruits have hanging position on the plant. The fruits are weight-130g; length-13cm; width-6cm; pericarp thickness-0,6cm. Color of the fruit in technological matu-rity is light green, while in biological maturity dark red. Variety HK-S/1 can achieve a yield over 50 t/ha. The fruits of this variety are very suitable for fresh consumption in both phases of maturity, but can be used for the processing for domestic and industrial needs. The variety is primarily in-tended for growing in greenhouses, where due to its large potential for long fruiting achieved remarkable results.

U drugoj godini proizvodnje, rezidba, biljni regulatori rasta, zasecanje, zakidanje lišća, će se koris-titi radi dobijanja dodatnog broja prevremenih grančica. Ove mere će rezultirati dobijanjem sadnica sa velikim brojem gra-na (veliki vegetativni potencijal) i sa mnogo rodnih pupoljaka (generativni potencijal). U prvoj godini nakon sadnje očekuje se dobar prinos kod ovog tipa sadnice.

Proizvodi su jako ukusni i lepi, i u formi su kriški, osim višnje i trešnje. Prerađuje se: višnja, trešnja, kajsija, breskva, nektarina, vinogradarska breskva, kruška, dunja, ja-buka.

Zasad se pokriva sa plastenicima tipa Veroneze. Na taj način jagode su u potpunosti zaštićene od atmosferskih uticaja (kiša, grad, mraz). Gustina sadnje je veća u odnosu na obično gajenje, a troškovi proizvodnje su slični kao i na običan način.

Vremenski derivati predstavljaju novije finansijske instrumente za uprav-ljanje rizikom i javljaju se u formi npr. fjučersa ili opcija, a uzimaju kao baznu vrednost npr. temperaturu ili količinu padavina. Vremenski derivati imaju značajne prednosti u odnosu na klasično osiguranje (nema moral-hazard problematike i nema procene štete). Danas je tržište ovih novih finansijskih instrumenata još uvek relativno malo. Rađeni su projekti (u SAD-u i Kanadi) gde je ispitivana mogućnost primene ovih novih instru-menata, dok u Evropi nema praktičnog primera. Autor je napisao mono-grafiju „Vremenski derivati i upravljanje rizikom u poljoprivredi“ i objasnio mogućnosti primene vremenskih derivata u Srbiji.

Weather derivatives are a relatively novel tool to risk management. They are fi-nancial derivatives (like e.g. futures or options) and they may refer to e.g. tem-perature or rainfall. Weather derivatives have some striking advantages over tra-ditional insurances (no moral hazard problem and no estimation of damage). The market for weather derivatives in the agricultural sector is still fairly small. There are some promising practical tests ongoing (USA and Canada) and there is not the market of these products in Europe. The author wrote a monograph “Weather Derivatives and Risk Management in Agriculture” and he gave some application of using weather derivatives in Serbia.

Superior proizvodi sadnice aronije, borovnice, jagode, trešnje, loganberija, maline. Trenutno stanje prodaje voća na tržištu je u porastu, jer je sve veća spremnost ljudi da ulažu u ovu granu poljoprivrede. Zbog ovog razloga sam ulazak na ovo tržište pokazuje dobar pravac.U ovom trenutku radimo na osnovnoj selekciji prethodno pažljivo izabranog osnovnog materijala, i njegovog daljeg umnožavanja. Želeli bi smo da nastavimo ovaj tradicionalni način selekcije, ali da ipak uključimo nekoliko parametara: ne samo osnovno testiranje u laboratoriji, već i malo ozbiljnija ispitivanja kao što su kvalitet ploda na osnovu sadržaja vitamina, anthocijana, tanina.

We are primarily involved with chokeberry, blueberry, and strawberry, cherry. Currently the situation in our country and in the region is demonstrating a high willingness for fruit orchard cultivation. Entering the fruit seedling market at this moment is highly likely to be very prosperous. At the moment the breeding program is implemented as basic selection of previously chosen plant material, and further propagation. We would like to continue in this manner of traditional selection, but including more parameters for selection: not only basic laboratory testing, but including some more delicate examination, such as fruit quality based on second secondary metabolites content (vitamins, anthocyanins, tannins...).

Projekat je zamišljen kroz niz aktivnosti koje se međusobno preklapaju i do-punjuju. Utvrdiće se trenutna situacija i mišljenje proizvođača, sagledati tre-nutni kapaciteti i formirati baza podataka sa razvojnim mogućnostima. Tokom terenskih obilazaka vršiće se i mapiranje, uzorkovanje i fotografisanje unetih stranih vrsta. Za uspostavljanje uspešne organske proizvodnje neophodno je eliminisati osnovni rizik, a to je prisustvo unetih stranih vrsta. Zato je potreb-no raditi na jačanju javne svesti kroz jačanje lične uloge i odgovornosti svakog pojedinca. U tom smislu, edukativno promotivne aktivnosti obuhvataće niz seminara. Učesnici edukativnih seminara moći će dalje, u svom svakodnevnom radu da koriste stečena iskustva i znanja, koja će prenositi na svoje neposredno okruženje, čime se postiže efekat masovne edukacije.

The project involves a range of overlapping and complementary activities. Initial activi-ties will involve farm visits for analysis of the current situation, existing capacities and producer opinions, to be covered by a data base on development potentials. Also, field trips will form the basis for mapping, sampling and photographing of invasive species. In order for organic production to be successfully established, efforts should be made to eliminate the major risk posed by the presence of invasive species. Therefore, attention should be focused on the vital need to raise public awareness through strengthening individual role and responsibility. To this end, educational and promotional activities will include a number of seminars. Trainees will attain the ability to further use and share the newly acquired experience and know-how on a daily basis, thus producing the mass education effect.
