1) Based on differential investment between new, state of the art low charge ammonia refrigeration system and industry standard, HFC based, single stage, air cooled plant with electric defrost divided by reduction in annual energy costs.

Scantec Refr igerat ion Technologies designed and installed a two stage, environmentally sustainable and energy efficient ammonia refrigeration system for approximately 43,000m3 refrigerated volume including variable frequency drive reciprocating compressors, variable frequency drive fans, evaporative condenser and computer based automation and monitoring system.
