Your website needs to resize on all devices while showcasing your expertise, products, and services.

2. Jump Start Your SEOA beautiful website is not nearly enough. You are competing with thousands of websites in your industry alone so your website needs to be optimized for search engines. Website Tips

Simple Steps to Improve SEOSearch engine optimization may sound daunting, but there are easy updates you can make to optimize your website Check out these five simple SEO tips to help you optimize your site and get more organic traffic from Google.

Tip 1: Identify keywords that your potential customers are using when they search for your products and services.

Tip 2: Write descriptive page titles and add unique meta descriptions that match your web page content.

Tip 3: Optimize your headers, page text, and images to include all of the search terms you identified in Tip 1.

Tip 4: Optimize online listings and social media profiles with what you do, your location, and contact info.

Tip 5: Build relevant and quality links to your website from authority websites (i.e. the chamber of commerce).

Fixing these basic SEO steps should help improve your rankings, resulting in more visitor traffic to your website.

The main image on your website gives us a first impression of your business. The photos or graphics that we see above the scroll help us decide if we will venture further down the page.

A person spends about 6 seconds looking at your main image so make sure it gives your website visitor a great first impression, shows us what you do, and reflects your unique brand.

w Don’t use stock photos found on other websites!

w Choose images that are relevant to what you do. w Share photos of the familiar faces at your company.

w Create a short slideshow of your services.

48% of users say a website’s design is an important factor in deciding the credibility of a business. Make sure your main home page image gives the right impression and tells a first time visitor what you do!

3 Things Hurting SEO

SEO

If you feel that something is wrong with how your website ranks on Google, there are three things that are most likely the culprit.

w Your website is not responsive. It’s not mobile friendly.w Your website is not secure. It’s not using HTTPS.w Your website is slow. It takes too long to load.

These three technical aspects have an impact on how a search engine can access, review, and rank your site. These issues are easy to fix!

For the best value in quality production, hire a professional.

Hiring a pro is cheaper than you think!

Naming Your PhotosFor SEO

Don’t upload files with the default name assigned by your camera (DSC4567.jpg). Since WordPress uses the file name to create an image title for you, your file name should describe the image with keywords.

Use hyphens (-) as word separators in your file name. Search engines use hyphens as markers between words. They see “image-file-name.jpg” as “image file name” so make sure those are all good keywords.

Don’t use underscores (_) between words. Search engines don’t recognize underscores as markers between words. They see “image_file_name.jpg” as “imagefilename” which won’t help your page SEO.

Camera File Name Hyphens for SEO No Underscores

Something as simple as creating good file names for your website photos can help your search engine optimization!

Photo tips

Image SEO starts with the file name. Google needs to know what your image is about so use relevant keywords that match up with how people search. Instead of using camera file names (DSC1234.jpg), your file name should be descriptive: my-amazing-website-sample.jpg

People with visual impairments use screen readers and he “alt” text tells them what’s in the image they can’t see. Your text in this field should describe the photo. This is not the place to stuff a bunch of keywords for SEO. Your goal is to help the visually impaired visitor so only use keywords that describe the photo.

When saving your images, the right format depends on the kind of image and how you plan to use it. JPEG: Photos for best color and clarity with a relatively small file size. PNG: Logos and when you need to preserve background transparency.

Descriptive Names Optimize Alt Tags Web File Formats

Responsive Website A responsive layout adapts and changes for different screen sizes.

Your website must be responsive to support all of the devices available today.

One Site. All Devices

Website content and features need to be available on all devices.

None of your content should be “hidden” or “turned off” for certain devices.

SOCIALMEDIAHOW TO BUILD A BETTER PRESENCE

“COMMUNITYIS KING”

In 2018, Facebook made a big update to their news feed which prioritizes posts from family and friends first, then your business posts. Since Facebook organic reach has plummeted, you’re lucky if 1% of your followers even see your posts.

You may want to focus more of your marketing efforts on channels like Instagram or LinkedIn, or Email Marketing.

BIGDROP ON FACEBOOK

1. Set your objective. Why are you online?2. Know your audience. Who are your customers?3. Be human and likable. Humanize!4. Build relationships, not followers.5. Focus on engaging instead of selling.6. Pay to play. Run ads and boost posts.7. Create quality content people like. The key relationship between you and your customer needs a human touch. People don’t want to be sold to on social media. They want to engage with you. They want to be entertained. They want to learn. Focus on putting the “social” back into your social media marketing strategy and you’ll build a bigger, better community of your own.

Service BusinessT O O B O R I N G F O R S O C I A L M E D I A ?

Your service business needs to be active on the right social channels so you can stay in front of people. That way your business is top of

mind when they need your services. You’re not boring. You just have to be more creative when it comes to what you post!

Make sure you don’t treat social media like advertising. Create content that people will enjoy and will find entertaining or

educational. Create posts that help people get to know you and your staff better. Share stories that make people

laugh. Make DIY or How-To videos. Share valuable industry articles.

Just make sure you continue to stay in front of people so your business is top of mind when

they need your services!

Instagram isn’t just for retail businesses. If you

own a service-based business, there are

lots of opportunities for promoting

your business on Instagram.

Anyone can capture video with a smartphone, but there are times your business needs a more professional production.

A videographer has the right cameras, studio lighting, and creative editing expertise for producing high quality videos for TV, movie theaters, and online marketing.

First, you need to know the distribution points for your video. Is this for advertising on TV or at the movie theater?

Write your script, then read it aloud while timing yourself. Make sure your script does not go over the maximum length allowed for your ad.

Plan your shooting schedule and the locations. Do you need lighting? Do you need microphones?

For the best in value and video quality, hire a professional.

Hiring a pro is cheaper than you think and people notice the difference!
