C. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

TIPS, RESULTS & FAQs1. Why does my child need to submit an audition video?

To ensure that we hear each child clearly and fairly, and to vanguard against poor internet signals during the e-audition itself, we therefore ask for an audition video.

2. Will you reject people based on the audition video?

No, there will not be any pre-elimination. All results will be based on the live e-audition and the audition video submitted.

3. What is needed in my child’s audition video; how to record?

Refer to Pg 10 for Requirements, and Pg 15 & onward for Video Guide

5. Can I take photos of the e-audition process?

No photography and/or videography is allowed during the e-auditions meetup. For internal review purposes, we will be video recording the your child's meeting with the audition panel.

4. Can I join my child in the e-audition meetup?

Parents and families are kindly requested to allow the your child(ren) to participate in the audition unaccompanied (i.e. alone), in a quiet room/space.

Helping or hinting your child during the e-audition may disadvantage your child.

6. Must my child prepare both a Choice and Set Piece?

For audition video: Only need record & submit your Choice Piece.

For Live e-Audition: If you have Music Theory qualifications of Grade 3 and higher, you will have to prepare both Choice and Set pieces. Refer to Pg 8 & 9for more details.

A. FRAMING GUIDE

Framing• Record in Landscape (Horizontal)• We would like to see your upper torso• If filming on phone, use main camera instead of

Lighting • Do try to record your video or do the e-audition in a bright, well-

lit room• Being near sunlight or a lamp will be good help

A CAPPELLA!Avoid the following: Instrumental accompaniment or backing trackKaraoke effects or other voice modification settings

B. ENVIRONMENT

Find a quiet room at home to record/for the e-audition, and turn off or put at a distance, all noise-producing equipment in the room (e.g. fan, aircon, alarms)

C. ATTIRE

Dress comfortably and presentably

Avoid sequins and glitter ascameras tend to pick up on reflections

Ensure File is in Accepted Format
